After skimming through Imperial Armour Apocalypse 2, I noticed a picture of a converted Shas'el kneeling on one leg and holding a Plasma Rifle with a scope on it.

It's basically an upside down Plasma Rifle with the Target Lock bit glued on top. There's a bit of clipping and filing, but it's relatively easy conversion.

I liked it so much that I included it into my army.

Here's a few pics of my Scope Plasma Rifles:

I've applied this conversion for all 12 of my Crisis Suits.

I need to find the pic you're talking about but it's a nice bit of flavor to add to an otherwise plain model, very simple and easy to do.

Cool conversion, but a correction...
That picture isn't a kneeling Shas'el with a scoped Plasma Rifle. There's another Crisis Suit to the side of him, which has a Target Lock on a shoulder mount giving the illusion.

How would they actually see through the scope?

They wouldn't, or really need it period.

But that's neither here nor there. It's an effective "looks cool" conversion.

The scope could instead be a camera, helping the pilot see whatever the Plasma Rifle is pointing at.

Who wants to know?

Or, you could just say he's got a target lock, just not on the usual fixed point. I've done this before with shield generators...

It'd be a good way to mark out a Shas'el and bodyguard versus a regular team.

It's a good idea for a convo, especially considering most other support system on weapon convo for XV8s look god awful. I say one with a MT on a MP. Fugly-tastic.

Back to the point: I'll probably try it with some of mine

My Tau's paint scheme is very simple. Prime Black, Base Coat Shadow Grey, and then heavy Badab Black wash. Quick and dirty.

Often, it might be better to PM the OP with your question, rather than resurrecting a long quiet thread...
