Hey All,
can we get some postings on tournaments being hosted in Florida and if there are any resources on how to find some besides the store finder on the GW website.

You can always try my site http://wargames.cerebros.net
I won't claim it's the most comprehensive list you'll come across but I upload details of all tournaments I come across or people notify me about.

There's a 2,000 point RTT in Orlando at SciFi City on the 25th of September; PM Mahu here on Dakka for details.
Bolter Beach II is coming up in...south(?) Florida in January. The link is a couple threads down, click on it.
I don't know about central or south Florida, but North Florida seems barren. Couple of stores in Gainesville that don't do tournaments, and Jacksonville only has one store that does tournaments and you don't want to game there.
There are various forums for various gaming groups - again, I'd send a PM to Mahu; he has better insight into what's happening and where than I do.

In Orlando, the big stores that have tournaments are:
Sci-Fi City (as Dash mentioned)
Colliseum of Comics (I'm pretty sure that the one in Kissimmee is that holds the big tournaments)
In Tampa, if you're willing to drive, the big stores are:
Anthem Games (I play here mostly, and they have 40k tournaments every two months)
Armada Games
And in Sarasota, the big store is The Dark Side
You'll want to check each location individually for their tournaments. Good luck!

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k. Rule #1 - BBAP

I've actually been to all of them plus I think I met you at Ard Boys this year at Anthem :-p I believe you were the one with glasses painting while the tourney was going on, I was with my Salamander Space Marine friend.

Hahaha, yes sir, my friends name is Matt I think you guys spoke briefly but he knows you from here and speaks highly of you. I also have an Ork friend who lives in Tampa right around the corner from Anthem but doesn't play in the tourneys.

Coliseum of Comics Kissimmee posts their tournaments on a couple boards, but you can always go to their main site to see their events. They've got two tournaments in October.

A large group of us play in Gainesville every weekend. I'm hosting a tournament on Oct 23. 1750 points, no painting required.
