It's my first, and I've been wanting to go for the past 3 years, but haven't been able to because of rowing.

I'm going. I managed to convince one of my parents to take me (because said parents can't ride a coach and I'm under 15 (just)) Anyway, its 20-30 minutes to crawley from HH so I would need to leave even earlier than most to get the coach.

It is also my first. I read there are a few gaming table so I'll be bring 1000pts of both a 40k and WHFB armies (marines and HE paint permitting)

Can't wait...

But, yeah. See you guys down there!

Boats or arguing ?

If anyone gets the chance to go to any of the newly announced seminars..

Black Library Seminars @ UK Games Day

On top of our spectacular Games Day line-up, we’re delighted to announce that there will be two – count ’em, two! *– Black Library seminars on the day, which is something that hasn’t been available for years. This is an excellent insight into the workings of the Black Library and a chance to listen to editors, artists and authors. The details are as follows:

Seminar One – The Art of Black Library

With Neil Roberts and Jon Sullivan

11.00 in the West Side Restaurant (by the Black Library Digital stand)

Seminar Two – Writing for Black Library

With Christian Dunn, Steve Lyons and Gav Thorpe

14.00 in the West Side Restaurant (by the Black Library Digital stand)

Here’s the important bit: tickets will be distributed from the entrance to the West Side Restaurant from 10.00am. There is a limit of 100 tickets per seminar and they will be given out on a first come first served basis. Tickets are limited to one per person

and either of the 2 Forgeworld ones at 12;00 and 13;00 then please do take careful notes and, if you get the chance, ask sensible questions. Ta.

Someone should also take a moment to point out the terrible, brutal irony of Gav Thorpe being on what appears to be a "how to write" seminar.

There are always a number of people who dress up.

As to games there are lots of games to join in with models etc already there. There are also tables to play 'non-samarium' games.

I’ve talked to some of you already though if any of you want to meet me there please PM me

There's always a few people dressed up, there is also a Facebook group relating to such.

If they'd've been clever they'd've put a few of Jes' DE concept sketches in place of all the High Elf ones, just to tantalise us further.

I thought exactly the same thing....after the initial excitement when I thought that was what they had done had worn off.

Golden Demon news....

Each year Games Day plays host to Golden Demon, the most prestigious fantasy miniatures painting competition in the entire world. The level of passion, detail and craftsmanship represented in the many thousands of exquisitely painted Citadel miniatures on display continues to rise year on year, and to see these exemplary pieces in the flesh is a treat like no other.

So, you'll be delighted to hear that this year, games-workshop.com will feature a world exclusive as we'll be posting images from Golden Demon on the website throughout the day as it happens, including pictures of all the winning entries.

From 10am on Sunday morning, we'll be updating the site with more and more pictures from Golden Demon as we get them. No longer will you have to trawl the Internet days after the event hoping to snatch glimpses of these amazing models.

To see all of this year's utterly fabulous entries in all their lush and vibrant glory, look no further than games-workshop.com.

Cool.
It'd probably end up easier to just see them from the web, what with so many people around them and all.
