Good start man.. Those blue flames look awesome! Way much better than the normal red ones I must say. Sarge though looks bit too "bony" but as it is still WIP I guess hes gonna get some more colours on him.

I agree with Xenon, the blue fire effect looks quite nice and gives them a much cooler (temperature-wise) tone. I'm interested in seeing how the models come out when finished.

Always love seeing the legion get some air time, though I haven't got any of the new models I have a collection of the old ones which are in desperate need of a repaint

I love the blue and the starkness of the white it's a nice change from the traditional look it's terrifying to think of that on the battlefield.

Will you be attempting a conversion for Veteran Sergeant Centurius (closest thing to an army commander they have).

Thanks for the kind words gents, they'll be getting a couple of hours attention tonight, so I'll probably start with the flames on the sarge.

Not sure how to deal with the excessive amount of bone colour, as all the purity seal paper just adds to and I don't know what other colour to paint them, still we'll see when more colour goes on.

I had thought about a conversion for Centurious seeing as the actual model goes for silly money on ebay, but I want to work my way through the standard models first, I know they get a lot of rap for being pants on the board but they're such good sculpts.

It has been said so much already, but that blue flame mottif in lew of the standard is brilliant and extemely well done, i look foward in the future facing these bad boys on the board.

If you are keeping the flame color and the bone color you could paint the seals as burnt cut them so they are tattered/well used that way they don't keep adding the stark whites overriding the black armor.

Nice idea, will give it a go on one see how it looks.

Yeah I know, but I couldnt remember this model coming from GW but apparantley it did.

Blue / warlock flames coolness.

The blue flames look awsome! The red purity seals give nice variety to the all black. Im not sure about the lightning on the Sergeants ax, thou.

Heh, is it a coincidence or have we both just done some LotD with blue flames! I just finished one last week! Nice work on the bone, but the axe details look a bit strange, I tend to use a black basecoat with very thin blue lightning.

Mmmmm. I've always been a fan of blue flames over red/orange. Just so...mmmm.

I agree with the above posters that the red on the axe looks kinda off. Otherwise I think they look great.

These are awesome models and this is a awesome paintjob.

Ok, I'll see what I can do with the axe, wasn't sure about it myself, but I didn't really want anymore blue on them, I'll see what other coulours look like.
