Under "Kraazgrug's Folly" someone uses Stormravens........ as Cannon and in the new Deathwatch Book.....I wonder how long till all SM Chapters get SRG's in the WD.....

SRGs are going to be like LRCs, originally unique to the BTs, then expanded across the Imperium.

But don't worry, I'm sure the various Codices will have their own Chapter-specific variants like Baal and Furioso and so on.

Call it 'cynical' or 'good business', but GW would be silly not to allow it, at the least in Apocalypse games...

Rumor has it that GK armies will be able to field them.

I hope everyone gets them as a BA player, I want SRG's as a plastic kit and if everyone gets them it will happen.

We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.

I agree. Only allowing BA to take the Storm Raven would be like only allowing BT to take a LR Crusader. It would be a neat model that hardly anyone would buy. I can't believe the Baal Predator is still BA only. I would love a couple of those bad boys.

Although supposedly Stormravens are actually more iconic to the Grey Knights than the Blood Angels.

Evidently the whiny marine players were jealous of IG finally having something cooler than them.

I wouldn't put it past GW to put the Storm Raven in white dwarf and give it to every Marine Chapter. Its a business they want to sell $62+ dollar kits.

You know somewhere there are Marine players whining about how they don't have Monoliths or Wave Serpents...

The Raven will probably be available to all armies eventually. Probably why it doesn't have "Blood" in its name somewhere.

It will just take a WD article or at the very least show up in the next basic SM codex.

Personally, as far as my SW are concerned the BA and GK can keep it. I want the ForgeWorld Cassius ram ship to become pointed appropriately and made available.

Maybe it'll just "count as" a SRG.

Gathering the Informations.

Does it actually say in the Blood Angels codex that the Stormraven is exclusively operated by the Grey Knights and Blood Angels...or just commonly operated by them?

The second wording would be a far better idea, on GW's part at least, unless it says something like "The Stormraven is currently operated exclusively by the Grey Knights and Blood Angels" for the first one.

It only says that the introduction is slow, and that the Grey Knights had it first. No mention to it being exclusive.

And it has two blood related special rules, the Bloodstike missile and Skies of Blood. But I doubt that it would be difficult for them to change the names.

Especially seeing as those two "special rules" are blatantly stolen from the Valkyrie. Like the rest of the vehicle.

Ah yes, Stormravens and other (mini) Thunderhawk type ships are an idea "stolen" from Valkyries

I have two of them and they'll probably look better than the plastic kit that may or may not ever be released.

only 1.
4 Bloodstrikes.
And a TL multi-melta (which i'd take instead of 5 lascannons if i could)

So, what saves your boys got when they jump out?
And what dread does it carry..................... oh, snap.

Best load out in imo is TL AC, TL MM, and Hurricane Bolter sponsoons. Use POTMS to split fire from vehicles and troops. They can do a TON of damage like that.

You'd seriously take a SINGLE tl multi-melta over FIVE lascannons? On a BS4 unit?

You'd choose a single potential S8 melta hit at 12" range over 5 potential S9 hits at 48" range?
