The design is cool, but the execution looks shoddy; very textured and grainy instead of flat and sleek, as high-tech weapons should look...

Aliens is probably my alltime fave, having these will certainly be awesome. I note that Hasslefree did them for a while too, but as you can see, the kabuki versions are far more detailed and less rough looking -

They are based on the pulse rifles for the movie aliens lol, sleek and hightech was 10% of the equation, gritty vietnam was the rest of the 90%.

If you have not watched 'Aliens', or not lately, you should. Especially round these parts I would expect lol!

I particularly like the hand is attached too. Attempting to fit Elyssian FW weapons to Cadian arms was a nightmare I am not willing to repeat....

They are very nice.I have not built any IG as yet, would it be a case of snipping off the triggerhand on a guardsman to fit the kabuki guns ? Otherwise i will get some of the hasselfree and just trim off the trigger assembly like i do with my bolters.

I ordered the Hasslefree Pulse Rifles and found them to be a little undersized when paired with heroic scale Cadians.

Hasslefree ones have so much less detail though... look at the grilling behind the grenade launcher tube, or lack thereoff, for example.

I don't think that was what he meant. The design is great, but the casts look of inferior quality, too grainy, it's not just the grittiness of the rifles (that Vietnam feel as you suggest), I mean, just look at the hands attached to the rifles.

I don't really think they're worth paying three times as much as Hasslefree's.

Anyone know how these newer rifles look in the hands of Cadian troops?

Indeed, that sounds like a perfect application of these models to me.

I was excited, 'till I saw the larger pic. Quality looks awful. I think I'll stick to using heavily chopped up Cadian lasguns, thanks.

Aye - I used them for a Scout squad and they were a wee bit too small. Not enough to ruin the look but it would have been nice to have them a touch bigger.

Okay... I decided to buy some of these as a Colonial Marines themed army is just too badass an idea to pass up. Here are pics of the rifle in the hands (more or less) of a Cadian trooper.

As grainy as the above pictures are of the rifles, in real life I think they look really good. I also like the scale since they don't look tiny in the trooper's hands. Now the cost is prohibitive other than ordering enough for a squad or two of vets but still.. pulse rifles, man! Then we can use the Master of Ordnance to "nuke 'em from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."
