Yeah, we just don't see nearly as much campaigning against the maltreatment of unicorns as we should. It's a damn shame.

I'd also like to know more about this apparent threat of the animation department walking out while it was being done, but sadly work atm.

Some background information on this intro

The in-betweening has always been done in South Korea, it's one of the reasons for the characters only having four fingers.

The South Koreans actually have one of the highest per capita incomes in the world, though that may not stretch to the animators, which could be a sweatshop for all I know -- Japanese ones are, apparently.

The merch is no doubt made in China.
