I was looking through imperial armor that a friend of mine has for his orks and saw the vulture, it says it can use heavy bombs. But nowhere in the book is there a description of them. I know you can't post costs online, but what are the stats? What book are they in?

Generally asking for rules and stat details is a big no-no. Asking what supplement/page/book they are found is doable. Though I don't have anything to help with on that. Best of luck finding what your after!

I found a reference to "bombs" in IA Apoc II, on page 24. Still looking for heavy bombs though.

I found it, they are in imperial armor volume 1. Not sure how they work with the 5th edition rules cause they require the flying rules to work it seems.

Flying rules should still be compatable with 5th. It's just that some things that used to be flying (Valkyries/Vendettas) aren't anymore.

Which is unfortunate because that would have added in an interesting dimension to the basic game.

Bombs have a range don't they? They are compatible with the scatter rules yes? The Vulture has a Ballistic Skill?

Don't see what's stopping you from using them.

Not to bring physics into 40k but a valk/ven that didn't move before would have to bomb itself, unless it did a loop-da-loop and "threw" the bomb like some cold war mini-bombers were supposed to do with nukes! I think it would have to be house ruled to use them in a normal game. I do like what i found in IA volume 1, but i think i will go with 4 rocket pods for the ridiculous wound ability on the move! (Woot for rocket pods being defensive)

The Heavy Bombs and regular Bombs require a flyer maneuver called a bombing run. Flyer rules updated for 5th edition are at the end of IA:7, 8 and 9, as well as being in IA:Apocalypse. Rather than using your BS to scatter, you drop them on your flight path and it scatters using the Cloverleaf Apoc template.
