I had a burrito for lunch today. The name means "little donkey" in Spanish; this got me thinking about other food items which have unlikely animal based names:
Devils on Horseback.
Toad in the Hole.
Steggies (or Dinosaurs) -- slang for Cornish Pasties.
Pitch in with your local specialities. Recipes like beef pie or pork sausage don't count.
