hey everyone just started this to get your opinions on what is the unit that you fear the most. mine has to be Khorne bezerkers, i had a bad experience once...

I fear no unit, I've played too many games.

What is an obnoxious unit to fight against is the Monolith, though.

The Ork Boyz Mob.

freaking Wraithlords and Rangers. I can blow the crap out of Raiders, murk swarming gaunts, make mincemeat out of Terminators but those two just makes me yank my hair out in frustration. T8 means that nothing short of a MC is gonna do anything to it, and the Ranger's 2+ cover save and double rending rifles are just insane.

I hate monoliths...
on a random subject i had a battle recently where my opponent brought in skarbrand and the plaguefather only he didn't my rune preist made them both die, gotta love space wolf psychic powers

Trygons. Goddamn Trygons. The fact that they have to sit still for a turn is no consolation when I have to focus every bit of firepower I have on them in order to kill them. Meanwhile, swarms of gribblies advance unmolested.

Gah trygons mawlocs get me thats a nasty unit as well
i'm gonna expand this now what are peoples favourite units, it's gotta be grey hunters, five plasma shots a turn, never good

On that count, good ol' Crisis Suits. Workhorse of my army, they've never let me down... and everyone at my FLGS hates them with a passion. Everything else in my Tau army (my main army) has at some point or another disappointed me, but my Crisis Suits always pay for themselves.

Trygons are my bread and butter XD. My first ever time using them my friend got so shellshocked by it appearing behind his lines, he actually CHARGED IT WITH NECRONS. Not Pariahs or Wraiths, but generic warriors, destroyers and Immortals. hilariously, I won combat and sweep advanced his troops to hell. in the second battle, I used 2. He hasnt stopped calling bullcrap on me ever since XD.

In all honesty, I really hate the Army of the Month.......which is everybody at one point or another (just so I don't discriminate )

I hate that Space Wolf priest (Rune Priest?) that can draw a straight line, and any unit that fails its morale test under it immediately dies. It has only killed one unit of mine once, but I hate it because it just seems illogical.

Its not a morale check.

IRRC, every model (not unit) takes an initiative check (need to roll your initiative or lower). So if you have 10 marines, you roll 10 dice, 5+ die, 4 and under live. Now this is off pure memory but im pretty sure how that works.

Correct, it's initiative by per model. So it can snipe ICs, Upgrade Characters, and Wargear such as a "Hidden" Power Klaw.

It reprsents the rune priest causing a massive chasm or wave of earth to appear that engulfs anyone too slow (Initiative Test) to jump out of the way. That's why things that can fly aren't affected.

Each model touched by the line takes the initiative test on it's own and is removed if it fails. It's just easier to roll for like units in groups.

It's an initiative test and it only affects models that are under the line, fail and die

if it's some consolidation, only models actually touched by the line has to do this. if you spread your units out probably only 3-5 models will be hit. And yes that's how a Characteristics Test works (p.8 of the rulebooks).

I hate Thunderwolf Cavalry. As an idea, they're just as stupid as deep striking Land Raiders. Unfortunately, they're even worse, because they're actually very good on the tabletop, unlike deep striking Land Raiders.

Deep striking land raiders are fun if they miss

I personally,have a lot of hate built up towards deep striking land-raiders,assault terminators,and rune priests (lost my favorite warlock, my first model, to it)

Me i hate slanesh deamon princes with wings and lash of submission. moving my lowly Ws 2 models into charging range. Not to mention its immune to instant death so i've actually got to direct a lot of fire towords it.

Ouch i feel your pain that must hurt.alot.

guardsmen blob that gets a 2+ cover save due to some order. If I don't have a flamer in range, they lose only 1-2 men. RRGH.

Most obnoxious unit? No idea.

Really, any unit can become obnoxious when the dice favors it.
