how much to charge for what (size/number/ect)

so what i am asking is for is those of you dakkites that do commission work yourselves, to help me out with advice on the
things i need to set this up.

(also if i have posted this in the wrong place could somebody please move this thread to the appropriate sub-forum.)

It would probably help if you said what kind of commission work you were looking for... Painting? Modeling? Drawing?

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

You should also post some work of yours in the galleries and link them so people can see some references of your work.

2- minor conversions Eg. kit bashes, minor greenstuff work.

Aretak, does it matter what type of photos i upload, or do i need to post specific pic's?

You need pictures that show your skills off well enough to convince people they should pay you for your services.

you should post pics that illustrate you finest work. Commision can definately fluctuate in price and is all contingent on your skill. Ive seen it as low as 3$ a figure and as high as 250$ a figure (that dude does fantastic work though: Bohun over on coolminiornot.com).

4250 points of Blood Angels goodness, sweet and silky W12-L6-D4
1000 points of Teil-Shan (my own scheme) Eldar Craftworld in progress
800 points of unassembled Urban themed Imperial Guard
650 points of my do-it-yourself Tempest Guard
675 points of Commoraghs finest!

Best bet would probably be to set up a web site (there's tons of free services depending on your time and web design skills) and use it as a online portfolio. Doesn't need to look flashy, but you do need to show pics and look professional.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

If you are serious about it, then you would be best to create a thread in swap shop advertising your services (there may even be a dedicated thread, can't remember offhand).
