Well of course no one plays them. They have horrible minis and a Codex from the stone age. If GW updated them, people would actually play them again.

Ot: My current hated model is the corpse cart. Bloody corpses wont fit right...

Who reads a book while fighting. What are they gonna do bore the enemy to death or teach a ork to read. Seriously it's weird & pointless. Here is another that's weird the head is just to weird for words.

He's reciting the Uplifting Primer to the Guardsmen whilst they go 'over the top' to inspire them, I really like that model (but my favourite commissar is the executing shot one).

The comissar is obviusly reading a come-back from his books of comebacks .. duh ..

Which is a pity, because I absolutely LOVE the Verminlord(concept and modelwise), but can't find mine currently.

That said, I'd also love to see a new, larger Vermin Lord to compare with the current Chaos GDs. And maybe this new rumoured Fantasy version of FW that GW's planning will do a Resin VL to rival the FW Daemon Lords.

This has to be my longest running thread. Everytime I think it's died, somebody brings it back from the grave.

Staying on topic, apart from the Wolfy McWolfrider (H.B.M.C.s words? I chuckle everytime I type it), there hasn't been much released by GW in 2009 that I would drop into this thread. The Ork releases in January were great fun (quibbling about the Battlebus aside) & the IG Command Sprues and Valkyrie were pretty good. I guess the Lizzies got the odd duff mini (still not really got to grips with Terradons have they?), but this was countered by the Stegadon and Temple Guard kits. Empire Archers were a favourite of mine and the new Skaven miniatures were so good (take a bow, Deathmaster Snikch), they badly dated the rest of the line (IMO).

Are GW's bad days behind them? You would hope so, but there have been some rumblings about some of the Beastmen sculpts. Perhaps 2009 was just a blip!

Well since rerolling Necrons I would have to say...

The Monolith. Don't get me wrong the Monolith looks badass. However most of the Monolith kits come flawed. The sides are warped and do not properly fit into the base of the monolith. For 70 dollars I would except a good kit with lots of extras. Expect nothing good from this one.

As for the actual minis well Necrons look pretty good. I would like to say the Necron Lord w/ Warscythe looks terrible. The weapon look's the exact same as the Staff of Light only without a second blade, it does not look like a scyth :(.

Same with the ork killa kan you can't fit the two parts of the kan together.

The worst models for painting sure are the daemons. Its not their fault, noone seems to paint them correctly.

Besides, the Eldar suck, DE even worse. Who'd put guns in his HAT and SCULPT CURVES into their rifles. Yuck. Nothing exceeds that weirdness than their giant mecha. Yuck. I hope their conversions in the next E or DE army book (holy grail for current E/DE players) at least look nice.

Marine predators, nice model, sponson design sucks, if you so much as dare to touch the sponson weapons the stupid spindly things break off
I'll stick with my old metal ugly sponson pred destructor, i could drag it on a rope behind my car and it would get there in one piece.
The new ones i have broke after only 2 weeks.

Welcome DEATH89, I'm liking your Paul Kidby pic Kind of heresy to say so, but he's a better discworld artist that the late Josh Kirby. Kidby really pays attention to Pratchett's text and gives the characters the proper look (e.g. Granny Weatherwax is a normal looking old woman and doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to a witch - much to her annoyance).

Hope you get the sponsons sorted anyway. Tried pinning them?

Anyone remember the old Commisar Yarrick model, that was horrendous! The new one is much better

And I think someone as awesome not only in the Warhammer univers but in the whole spectrum of GW's universes as Nagash could certainly use a new badass resculpt ^^

That's why I used Leman Russ sponsons on one of my predators. Looks great and hasn't failed me yet.
