Ok the lord models are not bad, and the staff of light looks ok. Warscythe? The warscythe model and using the res orb lord as a warscythe... how is that a scythe? looks nothing of the sort. I hope the next codex's lords come with actual scythes like the ones from medeival/fantasy times instead of a staff of light with one blade cut off.

Yes, as the OP I going to have to disallow Necrons as being nominated The models have dated slightly, but were acceptable sculpts at the time of release.

Lets face it, they are even worse than the manly dark eldar.

At the risk of starting an argument JD, (most of) the Dark Eldar line is by far and away the ugliest model selection left available to 40K collecters.

I'm staggered (metaphorically, because I'm on the sofa at present) by the suggestion that Necrons should be mentioned in the same breath as that foulness

At the time of writing this post is number 429 in this thread.
If we had been a bit more organised we could have covered most of GWs current range with one post per model.
It would have been quicker to name GWs best models though!

The GW site claims that Daemonettes are possessed of "hypnotic glamour".... those chicks are fragging ugly. Is GW just incapable of doing anything sexy?

In fairness, Al'Rahem is hardly a new challenger - he's been around since what, '94/5?

You mean except for the part where it looks like a biovore with a weight problem?

The problem I have with Tyrant Guard is that they look far too small to do their job- defending a huge monster from attack. I preferred the older Tyrant Guard models with the shield and lash whips (not that those were particularly great-looking either though).

the venerable dreadnoughts are impossible to put together, as well as necron wraiths, and zoanthropes.
