I will be sendindout marines as soon as possible. I still have some final touches and details to do on the Demo Marine of my Salamanders, and there will also be a Sarg. for those interested(he just got primed this morning, nothing better than some fumes to help you wake up right?)
So basically I'm going out for
Sarg vs. Sarg
Marine vs. Marine
Objectives vs. Objectives
Gretar

Hey gretar... since you're one of the guys that encouraged me to get started on dakka in the first place... I'd love to trade with you, Iceland or not.
Arakasi: Those are.... AWSOME. I may have you do my whole storm boyz squad....
*grin*
Anvildude: "Honestly, it's kinda refreshing to see an Ork vehicle that doesn't look like a rainbow threw up on it."
O'right Gitsplitta, thank you for the honour of being on that list Do you want a Sarg. vs. Sarg or a Marine vs. Marine?
Btw. Here are the pictures of them:
If you want to zoom in and vote they are available in my gallery.
Also, a quick thought for those with enough money in there pockets. It costs a lot to send out each model, and I dont have too much money, and my dad isn't very happy about payng that much for a single model.
So what I'm asking is, would anyone be up for the following suggestion. I will send this out to one guy in each part of each country I trade with(given there will be more than one guy in the country/region) and he will then send it out to the others in his perspective part of region/country.
If not I can take it, that just means it willl take more time for each man to get his model

I need to fill out my one and only tac squad... so I'd prefer a regular old bolter armed marine. I do have a deathwatch shoulder pad and bolter you can use if you'd like, that's kind of how I'm excusing the non-Mantis Warriors in my army. Conversely you can just leave the right shoulder pad off of him and I'll put the deathwatch pad on myself.

You may want to try to work it out with smaller groups then the whole country. For instance, Porkuslime, Ramos and myself are close to eachother, while Gits, Solar Lion and Goterdamrung are in a totally different part, but close to eachother.

Well, I can either send this one over to you and a just putting a blade between and lift up until it pops off should be enough, or I can make a new one That will take a little longer though, as I'm currently up to my knees with homework so only an hour or two to paint.
Btw. For those who intend to trade with me, please let me know if you want to keep the dirt effect or not. I'm kind of using these marines as an excuse to try out the effect

Here are my next two WIP. The one on the left is Brother Utaan, who will be sent to Sageheart. The one on the right is Brother Fwuapuu who will be sent to Gitsplitta as one of his Deathwatch marines.
I have your guy primed and put together git.
Also have Lord Marcus's guy done, except the base. He (oddly) asked for a Black Templar Sternguard. Makes me want to start a BT army TBH. Pic this weekend sometime maybe.
I actually finished something!
Frustratingly, when photographed the varnish is really shiny and obscures some of the detail also; nevertheless, I'm really happy with him (albeit more so in the flesh).

Heres my WIP for Whalemusic
There are multiple spots that need cleaning up, and the inside of the cape will have details of some sort. (blood drops, writing, etc)
Its a rather old metal body from a devistator, made in the early 90s. bBL did a great job making it look less static, which was a problem they had. It'll also be the first split color marine I have (Did a few myself, but they are long simplegreened)
Automatically Appended Next Post: And while you are here, do you have a preference for the inside of the cape?
Automatically Appended Next Post: Cape is finished, and I'm about to leave to go paint the chapter emblem. Pics when I'm done
Automatically Appended Next Post: Finished Whalemusic's marine
Normally, I would base it, but I'm too worried about getting 'snow' on the feet, which have a lot of details, and it would be a waste to hide.
Also, I know the chapter symbol is kinda crappy, I'm not great at free hand.

Just got the basing on bBL's and Marcus's guy, thats about all I have energy for right now. I have no ability to pull off the chapter logo for HL's, so I can either have a go at it, or leave it blank. Lemme know which those of you getting one would prefer, especally bBL.
Hey guys. If you have ever read my sig you would've noticed that I have a YouTube channel! So, I thought this would be smart, both to get more members on dakka and to get more people in on this project!
It has only had like 12 wiews but I'll soon post it over tothe Wargamer Group on YouTube that should get it to atleast hundred(all my videos have jumped from 3-4 to almost 400 after I post them there..)
Hey gretar.... you know that's the closest to meeting one of my dakka friends in person that I've ever come! Cool beans man, good job.
Have the initial build steps of my "marine" swap with Arakasi. This is an ork "Bug Boy" nob... a member of an elite (at least they think so) cadre of ork assault specialists that emulates the Mantis Warrior vanguard and their style of warfare. No ork is allowed to claim membership unless attired appropriately... you can imagine what it took for this nob to get his MW bits (terminator pads and legs).
Much of the scary stuff is done (the limbs and swords), now I'm just waiting for the green stuff to dry. In keeping with the theme of the thread... I hope an ork who *thinks* he's a marine is good enough. I wanted to give Arakasi the option of 'eavy armor, so I used terminator parts instead of regular marine parts. On top of that, regular marine armor isn't really proportioned for orks, but the termie stuff looks pretty good.
When it came to the head, I looked and looked for a "helmeted" head that would suffice... but had no luck. In the end, I figured the ork... wishing to emulate the marines, would do what most marine sergeants do... go helmetless. Both of these heads are an option. I like the one on the left best as it is closest to what you see on a lot of space marine commanders... but again, it would be easy enough to magnetize both heads so Arakasi's got a cybork option if he wants it. I'll be adding a lot of detail yet, some power cables to the swords, etc... but the "worst" is over. My last major hurdle is what to do with the back. Now the vanguard are jump pack marines of course, and the nob is a storm boy so his back is set to receive an ork rocket pack. Problem is that Arakasi want's to use him as a normal nob... not a storm boy. So, I either put the rocket back there so the mimicry is complete (but it won't count as a jump pack), or... I'm going to need to do some major revision of his back to eliminate the superfluous structure.
I'm open to any suggestions... I have an *idea* bouncing around in my head... but I'm not quite sold on it yet so I thought I'd fish for input.
