It has only had like 12 wiews but I'll soon post it over tothe Wargamer Group on YouTube that should get it to atleast hundred(all my videos have jumped from 3-4 to almost 400 after I post them there..)
Just to let you know you have numerous jump cut issues in that video. Good job spreading the word though.

Nice vid Gretar! Looking forward to seeing who comes out of the woodwork, lol. I dont think I've ever been named in a video before, at least not in the 40k world.
Finished Marine for Sageheart
That last picture is taken for Whalemusic. Its so you can see what my basing looks like, so you can tell me if you want that for your marine.
[EDIT] Nearly finished. I noticed two tiny blemishes. I'll go fix em.

I have more issues than that. It was filmed and edited in less than 20minutes
The accent, use of language and words, the wierd faces I keep making for some reason, the mumbling and the "uhhhs" between words etc. are all part of my wonderful video

Haha, thanks So did I!
Ok so here is the WIP picture of Git's Salamander that I promised to post like.. 3 days ago.. and of course I took the photo from distance so you would'nt notice the things that have to fix although its a WIP
Gitsplitta! Once he dries and pictures have been taken your marine will be ready for shipment. I will however, refrain from sending him until you are ready for him.

Lightbulp buxed with lots, lots of ducktape to make them stronger. I've only used them twice and they were both times "in country" shipments, but they worked then, why not now?

True, but I do that too, so i thought i'd just point out a middle of the road fact. Did you do like 5 takes and splice them into another?

Progress on Arakasi's "bug boy". Pardon my reach... don't want to nail him down until the build is complete. He needs a back pack of some sort... I have an idea but it's going to take some parts I don't have and some contemplation. So far, so good though.

Looking awesome Git! I can see how that rock might be giving you some trouble - attachment wise... Possibly what you need is some bent girder or pipe that attaches to the base, curves around the rock and comes up under or behind the foot - all plastic (sprue?) of course... Might help hold that bad boy (the rock) on as well...
Automatically Appended Next Post: Intrigued on what you have planned for the back. A Rokkit Pack is still not out of the question if it all falls apart though...

Nope, its one take, were I repeat each sentence twice or often, then I put it into my video editing software, cut away all mistakes etc and add the texts. Then I'll save it, and wait till its done uploading on YouTube!

My current idea is to run a bit of piano wire from the back of his heel down the top of the rock and into the base below (in the back). Then I'll disguise it in with shrubbery from behind and some flocking. If I do a decent job it should be nearly invisible after painting. I think I've worked out an ork glyph that looks like a preying mantis head (not all that difficult, preying mantis heads are pretty orky to begin with) which will serve as his boss pole decoration. The back pack has been a point of much brain power (such as there is). Because I don't want to make him a storm boy, I don't want to put a rocket on his back (though I think it would look very good). My current thought is that he'd want to be wearing something that looked like it would make him fly (as this is what the Vanguard do), but does not have the where-with-all to actually get a rocket pack. My current thought is to attach a small engine to his back (I think a lawnmower engine with a rope pull hanging down would be hilarious) with 2-4 insectoid wings attached to it. When he goes into battle, he fires up the engine which makes the wings flap a bit... giving the nob the fearsome insectoid appearance he's looking for. This is also consistent with what I've always loved about the orks... the kind of crazy humor that used to be a mainstay of ork character but not-a-days has been largely replaced by the ever-present grimdarkiness of the other races.
I was going to steal your deffkopta blade idea for the wings, but looking at them I've decided they're just too large, not only in length (which can be fixed) but in width (which can't). They are roughly the right shape though (think dragonfly wings), so I'm thinking I'll end up fabricating them for myself, which shouldn't be all that difficult. So the hangup is finding a miniature gasoline engine to fit onto his back. I figure I'm as likely to find the right thing in the toy section of the local store (or my kid's toy box) as I am in any gaming catalog... and a heck of a lot cheaper too.
So, there we are.... kind of stuck until I can get the back-pack worked out, but considering the amount of cutting and pasting that was required to get his limbs on... I'll call it a success so far.

Oooh - a look that I thought of, but was pretty much impossible with a Rokkit pack on their back, is how Blackout (Transformers Movie) has his blades, insect-like across his back. Deffkopta blades "might work". I shall now return to my painting - that is all
So I didn't make it to the post office today as planned. Instead I went to the ER after trying to cut my finger off opening the dang Apocalypse templets. I got 5 stitches and a tetanus shot for my trouble. Got the pie plates out tho.
