What factions do you have elites from? We might be able to find you some grunts that you haven't considered.

My problem with Infinity is that I went cool looks before rules and now I have "elites" from 3 armies but no grunts for orders and the grunts don´t tickle my fancy.

M.

I have that same problem. Well, I haven't bought any elites yet, but if I buy a grunt just to sit there behind cover all game and look pretty he better look extraordinarily pretty to be worth the $10+ you pay for a standard metal model these days.
I think that is the same sad trap many games fall into, you need X to make Y playable but X's model doesn't always appeal to the same people as Y. Yea sometimes you can proxy but who makes alternate infinity models? and if they do are they even 1/10 as good as the sweet corvus beli sculpt you didn't like in the first place? You could just buy an alternate model from within the range but then you confuse opponents, or maybe the gun is sub-optimal.

Everyone's eye has a different view.

Personally I don't like the Nomad grunts much. They were some of the earliest sculpts and IMO look rather stilted compared to the more recent stuff.

Nearly all the Aleph models are great, and it is the most recent new army.

The Haqqislam and Combined Army are good solid ranges, and Ariadna is mostly class. Yu Jing are OK too.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

I was thinking the same thing a few weeks ago, while discussing Infinity with a friend. However, even CB's early stuff blows away the competition......it just goes to show how spoilt we are

So, Battlefoam just announced an exclusive Infinity figure if you buy their bag.

Battlefoam wrote:Hello Infinity Fans,

As you all know the great people at Infinity decided to partner with us to do the Exclusive Infinity Bag releasing this fall. Not only will Battle Foam provide you guys with an amazing bag, but Infinity will be releasing a limited edition model at launch time.

This limited edition model will only be available with your purchase of the bag. The limited number will surely make it a must have collectible for all Infinity players.

Over the next couple of weeks we will release more parts to the picture puzzel showing the art for the mini. The actual mini has been sculpted and looks amazing. All I can say is that everyone will love it!

The marketing seems rather unlikable from the perspective of current Infinity players/collectors. You probably already have a better bag, and collectors will definitely want the miniature. I guess it's okay for people just starting the game, but many people that get into Infinity are former players of other wargames and they already have bags.

Ah well, a new miniature, aye? No doubt it'll be a great miniature.
Hopefully promotions like this don't continue and/or this miniature will be released in the future.

If your not too into any of the LI that you need to field elites then just choose linkable ones that you dislike the least, I have only played a couple of games but my linked troops were far more effective than my opponents Line Kazaks.

Oh and has anyone else seen the pics of the O-Yoroi? Love the helmet and weapon designs... not too keen on the T-rex arms and leg design.

Still prime material for a kick ass conversion though

I have so far:
The Yu Jing, Haq and PanO Tags
The 2 Oniwabans, all 3 ninjas (hacker, cc and sniper) a Daofei, Hac Tao, Kali and Imperial agent
Knights Montesa, Hospitalier and Santiago plus Joan D`Arc
A Nomad Mobile Brigada

So mainly Yu Jing but have a something for the knights. They are currently being used as Space Clowns from Hell in my Eldar count as army, much better for my tastes to carry high tech ninjas than the clowns.

And Sun Tzu, I´m always forgetting the poor guy

So, I've been reading the international Infinity forums and it looks like the french magazine Ravge has published Phtoos of the new upcoming Yu jing TAG: the O-Yoroi Kidobutai

Does someone has access to those photos? Is there any french player here who can scan the magazine and share it with us?

I cannot wait to see the Japanese TAG.

Looks like they snagged a couple minor design elements from the Appleseed LandMate design with the smaller arms near the lower torso to show where the human pilot is. Much like the Nomad Lizard tag. Though overall it looks really good.

I am planning to redesign the lower torso and hip area so that he is slimmer hipped.

Thanks to the complete rip off of the evangelion mech helmet I will be building an EVA version of him...can't wait!

QFT. That metal extensions in the minis's feet are not exactly the perfect solution. A bigger base, or a full size metal bit wich reaches both feet (like the one included for Duroc's base in the Margot and Duroc box) would make things easier.

My word! That is an ugly model. Intentionally, so, I would imagine.

That doesn't look good at all. In fact I'd say that's one of the worst Infinity models in terms of design. Granted, it shouldn't be too hard to fix, but still.

Not a Yu-Jing player myself, but I have to admit - I like it!

It is very weird and alien looking.

I wonder if the background gives hints as to its design?

Do the little baby mechs shoot out of his crotch vent thing? Or do the little arms pull them out and hurl them at the enemy?

I kid, I kid. I like the model from the waist up, but not really feeling the lower regions in those shots.

From Angel's Blog.

I think it looks pretty good though I'd have to see the proportions in person. I think they did a lot better job with the exposed arms then the Lizard.

@Miguelsan - The only time you REALLY end up taking "cheerleaders" is if you are fielding a really pricey TAG. There is a lot of times that you can get away with taking mid ranged point guys to at least sneak away with 8 orders. The only one that really struggles there however is ALEPH since their scale from "cheap" to expensive slopes up REALLY fast.

Then you'll love these guys!

That T.A.G.'s helmet is so Neon Genesis...

The 'official' pic from Angel makes this thing look even nicer.

LOS hiding it looks to be an issue though!

That was my first thought. It's like an EVA that's been hitting the twinkies a bit hard.

OK, that is excellent - but, how hard to accomplish, especially in metal?

It had better be doable since it is almost my exact plan! I also thought that by swapping the feet you could twist it to a decent running pose.
