Hi is Halo Reach any good?

Check out metacritic.

The reviewers are pretty positive, but the users are fairly negative.

If you're a Halo fanboy, you'll love it. But, if you're like the rest of us and sick of the cookie-cutter, over-saturated, no-storyline, multiplayer FPS genre, skip it. (I'm looking at you Black Ops!)

No storyline?!! Halo is reknowned for its epic storyline and reach is no different mr Grakmar

Sounds like you should play Halo: Reach.

I was wary of Reach seeing it as kicking a dead (money making) horse but after playing the campaign and a few games online I was hooked. I stopped mooching my room mates copy and bought my own.
The only bad news is that now I feel obliged to buy the new map pack.

I really liked it, and I'm no Halo fanboy, good sir. In general, it's a very fun game, and that ultimately is what should define a game. It also contains jetpacks and (relatively) intelligent enemies. I enjoyed this greatly.

@Wraithlordmechanic, I bought the map pack today, makes an improvement on the maps on the disc. Tempest is great, plays like a shorter version of valhalla on halo3 but with more vertical gameplay. Anchor 9 (the space one) is ok, similar in layout and loadout to h3's 'Pit', one of my old time favourites. And then theres breakpoint. stunning. Love this map. Map pack overall is well worth the buy!

How many gamerpoints (xbox) is the mappack? I havnt been on halo reach much since black ops (Needa rank up a bit)

800 points, same as usual. Unfortunately I can't try them out until I get a new console...

Halo online is so boring. I don't like the 'whichever team gets to this spot and grabs this power weapon first wins the game lol' games. It isn't fun.
Also, Halo: Reach should be renamed Call of Halo: Modern Warfare
The AR is like, a 5 shot kill. Its ridiculous.

Also, they removed the only thing I still liked about that game. Floating around in space on Zealot.
