Hello folks and yes I am a 40K nut.

I made it a personal challenge and painted up my Dark Eldar in a month. The secret? No online gaming, no television. I really just wanted to show that it is possible if you set your mind to it.

I have yet to name my Kabal but hopefully after a few games a theme will emerge. So without further adieu:

My Archon

My Haemonculus front and back:

The whole Kabal including my buddies Dark Eldar terrain (senjistudios.com)

A slightly blurry HQ shot:

The True Born:

My Raiders:

A Raider close up:

A unit of Wyches:

The Hellions:

And the army nestled into there new home in my collection:

Needless to say I love the new sculpts

I hope this inspires you all to turn off WOW and pick up a brush

Looking forward to comments and questions and maybe even a name for my Kabal

Oh and by the way, stay tuned for a epic battle report within a week. It will be the first time for my new Dark Eldar and the first battle report in 6 months.

Aloha!

Hey Thanks Black Ram!

I am hoping to do a more detailed review of my collection in the not to distant future. It may be safe to say I have got the largest self-painted 40k collection in Hawai`i

Quite a collection you got there. I would never paint that much in a month. Cant wait for more pics (strange there are no current close ups for your reavers)

I love Dark Eldar. You should get a couple more overpowered tank rapers though.

Well as it stands, I have a blast pistol on nearly everyone who can carry them and the reavers have 3 heatlances. Combined with a darklance on all my vehicles I think I am pretty covered

However I have built all my vehicles so that the lances can be swapped out for disintegrators in case I take on hordes.

How about "The Swift-Kill Kabal" or something similar in honour of the speed at which they were completed.
Very impressive!

I have an archon, 5 incubi, and some wyches in a month lol. Ravagers just have a sort of quality about them though, I borrowed my friends and killed three tanks in one turn.

Thanks for the reply Jack and Draglide.

Judging from the number of raiders I really should incorporate speed into their theme

And I do have have two Ravagers so they should fit the bill

How about "Kabal of the Bloody Lip" ? Great job on the uber-fast painting. But on a different note, did you scratch build that Warlord Titan? If so, do you have any WIP pics or materials lists?

The saddest part of all this for me is - I HAVE that many miniatures - All - In - Boxes. Major fail...

Great job though.

Thanks for the reply folks!

As for the titan, I did not do any WIP shots unfortunately. However the basic Idea is to use pvc tubing for the structure. then build the outer shell with foam core. Then the most important bit, spray expanding foam into the shell. This will lock the pvc into place within the foam core shell and makes the whole Titan quite durable. And more importantly, very light. The whole Titan only weighs around 5 pounds. I will do a more detailed how-to in the future I promise

Well, first off that is insane you were able to paint an entire army of that quality in such a short time. Fantastic work, definately table top quality and beyond! I love the colors and how you chose to highlight them. Second, It is absolutely astonishing how many army's you have and the size of each.....very impressive!

Thanks for the reply folks!

If this post has served to inspire anyone to keep focused then I am stoked! One good tip is to turn on an audio book and block out a chunk of time. The Silmarrilion comes to mind You will be surprised how much you get done!

Also, I work a bit sloppy on my base coats. Then when I come back for highlights, I get a chance tidy up at the same time.

Very impressive collection and Dark Eldar army!

Seriously impressed you managed all that so quickly - can't have been cheap! - and to such a high standard too!

Any more pictures would be great, I love the sculpts and the justice you've done them, but then again I guess there'll be more in the batrep.

Good - nay, Great - job man.

Stunning job! I'm not a fan of Dark Eldar but I can appreciate and respect the outstanding effort you put forth.

I see that we are both hoard... uhm... "collectors". That's an amazing collection you have there.
