I haven't used one yet, but I'm thinking about trying it out on my 5 Nob squad, tomorrow. Anyone have good/bad experiences with it? For only 15 points it seems like a good investment hands down. Thoughts?
Oh, and I'll be facing a CSM army. And he usually has at least 2 squads of Plague Marines, just so you know what i'm mostly up against.

It's a frickin' steal. Pretty much a mandatory upgrade. Not taking it is generally foolish.

Always worth it, never run without. As mannahnin said it's pretty much mandatory.

Trade rules: lower rep trades ships 1st. - I ship within 2 business days, if it will be longer I will contact you & explain. - I will NOT lie on customs forms, it's a felony, do not ask me to mark sales as "gifts". Free shipping applies to contiguous US states.

Even with a bare minimum 3 nobs with choppas - they get 15 attacks on the charge - youre paying 1 point per attack to go from hitting on 4 to hitting on 3's. Very much worth the points.

banner and a painboy is what makes nobs so nasty.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

Yeah I've just made room for it. I dropped 3 of the Big Shootas I had attached to my Boyz. I'm running my Nobz as such:
5 Nobz - 100
Painboy- 30
5 CB - 25
2 PK - 50
Boss Pole - 5
Waaagh! Banner- 15
TL Shoota - 5

It comes out to 205, the TL shoota I would normally not run, but I came up to 995 points and just threw it on there to get an even 1000. I feel like I'm investing too many points into this 5 man squad. Should I drop a PK?

Considering the points level, I'd say that it's on par. I'd even try to fit in another PK. You've got more CC 'punch' than that unit, correct?

TL Shootas aren't really worth it. Combi-Skorchas are where it's at. They auto hit and wound MEQ's on 3+. Big Choppas would also be a good idea.

The Waaagh! Banner is a must for your Nob squad.

I would never go without one.

I've survived without one, but after a nasty run-in with an Avatar, it is on my list to make!

If I would I'd probably have to take off one of the PK's, so which one would be better?

Yeah I have 2 squads of 20 boys with PK/BP Nobz as far as CC goes.

That's a good idea, I didn't realize that a Combi weapon was only 5 points also. And with a BS of 2, auto hits are going to be a must.

Anything with a 4+ save or worse is absolutely wrecked by a combi-scorcha. Especially units trying to hide in cover, like SM scouts, Eldar pathfinders, etc. Good as gold.

Iv found combi rokkits can be useful for opportunity shots as well...especially if you include a few ammo runtz in your unit!
