Hi!

I've just been trying to upload pics to my gallery and, after the file upload banner disappears, it keeps directing to the "No files are uploading or pending" screen. As far as I'm aware - none of the listed three possible errors should be in effect. I've posted 413 images without issue until today!

Is there something wrong with the gallery upload? Or is it just me?

Just tried again from work - so not a local network issue.

hmm nobody else has reported any issues lately and there is still a constant stream of new images incoming.

No - though that is where I am taken after each attempt... (rather than the normal screen prompting for details of each image)

I was originally using Safari. I'm now trying at work on Firefox. Nothing has changed regarding camera or image formats - unless someone has replaced my iPhone while I wasn't looking... I haven't even updated the OS recently...

Strange, your image is not registering as being a valid photo for some reason (hence it is shown as a 'Download' instead of a thumbnail here). I'm not sure of the exact reason, but somewhere before it gets to us either the file is being corrupted or invalidated. The dakka software is a lot more picky about getting perfectly valid images compared to web browsers and other image viewers which is why they are fine on other devices but not here.

The only recommendation I can give unfortunately is to use an image editor like photoshop or the gimp to open each file, save each file and then upload them. Perhaps an OS update on the phone to see if that fixes the problem?

Hmmm... loaded into MS Paint, scaled back 50% in each dimension, saved as Jpg, and still won't upload... I will try Gimp later. I did manage this successfully as recently as yesterday...

It does appear to be my issue, not Dakka's - the first image crashed GIMP

I have managed to load into Preview (Mac) and re-save with both success (1 image) and failure (3 images). I guess I'll keep trying and try to figure out what changed my end.

The one you uploaded displayed in firefox for me, you could always go the incredibly round-a-bout route of loading in firefox, taking a screendump then uploading that
