Calvin and Hobbes is a funny comic.
That however, wasnt funny at all. The only lackwit that would find that funny would be exactly the type of person that Europeans would want to ignore as per said cartoon.
In fact, being British im as Eurosceptic as it comes, but if i had to shoot one guy in that cartoon it would be the "dude" with shades on.

I love me some Calvin and Hobbes. I grew up reading it, and even convinced my fourth grade class to do a play on three of the longer comics. Most didn't care, it got them out of class.

Can't understand how anyone finds Hetalia esque comics funny, but anyway.
Cyanide and Happiness has some good albeit immature stuff, Penny Arcade rarely misses for the majority, and Johnny Wander is pretty good too.

Penny Arcade is almost always funny, Ctrl-Alt-Del is funny most of the time (the plays on aspects of recent games are almost always spot on, the stuff with Ethan is only really funny if you're as immature as me )
Dr.McNinja is funny just through sheer awesomeness (chainsaw nunchucks being a prime example)
Cyanide + Happiness is very morbid, and often spot-on

Oglaf is one I found that is really funny, but an Adult comic, and more often than not, NSFW (thus, I won't link it here).

I said an Adult comic. I think that combined with NSFW makes it pretty clear. xD
But yes. BOOBIEWARNING.

I think Porn warning would be more appropriate. Now I know where these things come from that pop up on /tg/.

Hey! I enjoy hetalia! Heck, I'm even cosplaying as Russia next semester! I personally find the anime slightly more interesting, but hey, that's just me...
But hmm, xkcd is always amusing. Questionable Content too. I do have to vote that the Far Side, Calvin and Hobbes and Garfield are all great comics.

Least I Could Do is amazing. I like the new comic Blind Ferret just picked up, Girls With Slingshots. Comic isn't new, just new to BF.
I too like Oglaf. The Fountain of Doubt is one of the greatest pieces of wit ever written.
Calvin and Hobbes is a true classic though. Few things are better.
