Yup the body is from the mephiston model which includes the base of the cloak that's under all that lovely green stuff.

I was just playing around with a few of my models. And I came up with this! I tell you guys! If this beast existed, It would probably be the meanest T-34 of WWII!

Also, Don't look at the turret of the baneblade too much.. I know that It's in dire need of wash, highlights and some weathering.. just haven't done that yet

Fantastic Plaguebearer! Did you use a plaguebearer's head, or just GSed the ghoul's head to have 1 eye? Looks great!

@NakedBatBoy Na it is from the WFB Ghouls, I used a dremel to bore out the eyes and make an indent for the single eye (which is just a ball of Green Stuff). Then just sculpted the forehead and horn ( horn was taken from the WFB Dryads)

To be serious, I took this head from the Baneblade kit.

DiDDe, the real T-34 wasn't as big as a Baneblade, it was Leman Russ-sized.
But the Baneblade turret does fit to T-34 chassis.
Baneblade is like the German super-heavy tank Maus (the mouse). Sadly, there were only 5 of them and none participated in WWII.

I just thought that if you just look at the scale of the turret and the chassi. they kinda look pretty same-sized, Since the T-34 I used is a scale 1/34. And I know that the baneblande is nowhere near the size of a T-34 if the baneblade existed irl. ;D
In that case it's more like a maus like you said but the armaments of it has to be more like a Ratte then or something?

Well, while he may not quite be my best, I feel I put amazing (and fun) effort into this little boy. Death cult assassin? Maybe. Or, due to incessant yammering, a male Howling Banshee with Mirror Blades. Especially since my Iron Man Eldar army has branched out to become a Marvel Eldar army in general....

Sadly, I don't have the whole army up-he's one a kind right now (but quite easy if you want to make your own). I do have a bunch of Eldar Iron Man models up, but a lot of them were half-assed and I have to go back and take off the Eldary bitz (like cloth) and make it straight up metal. Should be better then, but I don't want them up til they're done. Deadpool, however, is finished. If anyone wants the list of parts to make him, just send me a PM. If enough people really want it, I'll just add it to my first post.

Edit: And yes, Mr. Wade Wilson himself is 100% GW material (except portions of green stuff from GF9, but don't tell GW that )

I kinda wish he'd taken a little more care matching edges up to hide the underlying cardboard. A bit of appropriate color would be nice too.

The execution is a bit weak. But the concept is absolutely brilliant, and I'm just nitpicking.

Not everyone has a few hundred bucks to drop on plastic, plus another hundred or so for the rules. Many don't have the talent for a well painted army. On the other hand, cardboard is cheap, and most people nowadays have access to a computer and color printer...

I'm not an elitist. I'd rather play a fun game against a well-executed 'cardboard' army than against a snob who looks down at me because I'm not using all the latest minis...

I made it because I was bored. I take no offence to what anybody said. I only had a pocket knife, cardboard and gorilla glue plus the print out. If I had scissors I would have matched it up more.

I wouldn't exactly call myself an elitest or a snob, I'm willing to play against unpainted armies in friendly games however I would expect if someone wants to make thier own models because they can't afford GW plastics for everything that a certain amount of effort had gone into creating the stand in models because for me playing the game is sort of an added extra or icing on the cake as I enjoy the collecting building and painting of an army just as much as I enjoy playing with it.

Plus this is the "best converted model" thread so I would expect people to put their best or favorite coversion into it?

I mean no disrespect or offence I am just clarifying why I thought that the post might have been tailored for humour. As portugus has stated he made it because he was bored and given the time again and some better tools could have done a better job already.

I like to play with this one whenever I can. The hardest thing was to remove and hollow out the left shouldpad - it's from the Chaplain kit, but it was on the right stormbolter side. The banner's from the LOTD set, chaplain body, librarian left arm and staff, storm bolter attached to a storm shield arm covered with the shoulder from the chaplain model. All painted and ready for the field. I use him for both my chaplain or a librarian.

This is most random. Lemme see if The Baron can gather all these points.

The models are expensive.
The rules are expensive.
Some people can't paint well.

The latter seems redundant, just because people can't paint well doesn't mean they can't afford the models, or vice versa.
Vulcan wrote:I'm not an elitist. I'd rather play a fun game against a well-executed 'cardboard' army than against a snob who looks down at me because I'm not using all the latest minis...

So basically, you're not an elitist but you prefer to be on the side which has the most money, since you don't seem to note the possibility of being able to play a fun game with your own 'cardboard' army because then you'd be playing against a snob who looks down on you. This says more about your potential insecurities than the opinions of other people.
