Notch's twitter is looking positive, apparently the beds are working a lot better in SMP (or will be when the update is released, they're working fine in his testing) so that solves one of the myriad problems around.
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

"You need not fear us, unless you are a dark heart, a vile one who preys on the innocent; I promise, you can’t hide forever in the empty darkness, for we will hunt you down like the animals you are, and pull you into the very bowels of hell." Iron - Within Temptation
Does anyone want to start a project to build something cool with me? I am tired of all the mindless mining I have been doing for the last week - I want to build something. Any ideas are welcome.

Automatically Appended Next Post: Server should be back up now. Every 2 hours on the 38ish minute the server reboots.
Automatically Appended Next Post: DAMN! I am on for 3 minutes and then it crashes a couple seconds after someone joined it...

Mondo, my friend went on my minecraft and accidently broke a single glass, somewhere in one of your houses, but I fixed it with dirt. Whichever house the nether lead to. Sorry about that

The server is back up now… although I have no idea where it spawned me...

so it seems the server's crumbling without me so 1.6 is slowly killing the server, being made worse by 1.6_5.
boymac, I'll help with the 'coaster when I get back home from cornwall and finish my path to the nether. I have around 2 stacks of rails.
where were you thinking of making it? I was thinking opposite brandywine (other side of the road) or in the hills nearby.
It's a nice area, not going to get in the way of other projects, near several homes and scenic.
anyway, I made a portal in my hideaway house (shh!), and in the nether I think it was around 50, 50 (diddle can probably give exact co-ords), but it's rather high-up and I was building a road to it when my holiday hit, so anyone carrying on that road to the brandywine portal complex will have my thanks.

corpsesarefun wrote:You made a portal that didn't just link to existing portals?
Lucky sod.
It's around 1800x, so it wouldn't connect to any.
I also made a portal in the aquarium (a room off the tunnel to gooda's, not 30 blocks away from the hall), that at first linked to the sanc, but by happy coincidence the co-ords that we had to make the portal in the nether was slam bang in the middle of mordor, so now the portal to gooda's is inside mordor.

Yeaaah! Make it near brandywine! That would be great.

The Railway is looking much better now. Without supports, it's like having floating trees. When can we get it running?
It will take a while to mine all the Iron and gold etc, but the Railway base and supports is complete; any extensions I can take care of as long as I have a good
supply of Cobblestone.

I accidentally had some water spill from my castle, down a hill, and into the valley of death some 50 blocks away, when an admin is on i'll fix it with a diamond pick and some lava blocks or something.
Diddle: you have anything to trade for cobble?

I will be bringing my laptop to do some development, but I won’t be able to do much testing.
ONWARDS TO THE ADVENTURE UPDATE! *holds up sword, poses dramatically*
1.6.6:
+ Added a new use for bonemeal
* Changed the material of glowstone from “glass” to “stone”. This means you need a pickaxe to get resources from it
* Made glowstone drop more loot
* Made the recipe sizes for creating cloth blocks and glowstone blocks smaller (2x2 instead of 3x3)
* Re-introduced unlimited FPS, renamed the option again
* Fixed beds not working very well at all in SMP
* Fixed destroying a boat spawning the player too low, causing them to sometimes fall through the ground
* Boats float up to the surface quicker
* Boats falling down into water lose their vertical momentum very fast
* Removed Herobrine
No bug updates but a host of strange things, what on earth are cloth blocks? when was herobrine IN the game? what is this new bonemeal use?
shrike wrote:Well, i'm having conflicting answers, and seeing as my phone takes 5 minutes to navigate each page i can't be bothered to find out. when the server gets back to it's normal self, i am requesting that we use the temporary server as some specialised one, maybe a large battlefield or a survival island.
It's more of a mountainous paradise than an Island, or a battlefield. Lol.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Also,
I would love to become manager of the Overhead railway system we've got. I have been working hard on the Supports and Aesthetic features of the system, and it has become quite close to my heart to maintain and keep this railway running; let alone complete the project if possible.
So code is pretty unstable? Was just getting the time to get back into it properly as well.
Guess I'll wait a little for a more stable version of the code to come out. Still need to actually move into that Brandywine place, if my reserved space is still there.
