So, after you're done with a game.. do you keep it on the shelf forever even if you never play it again? Or do you sell it or trade it in for the next one?

Keep it, selling a game I bought is HERESY!

Unless it's really bad, in which case I destroy it.

It depends,PC games I keep. But console games, I'll usually give to friends(with the console) when I have no use for it anymore(example, I got an XBox 360, gave my old xbox, and games to a friend who only had an N64).

I keep them. Though I did trade in my old xbox games.

I keep all of them. I even have my two PS1 games lying around. The thought of ever selling a game because I'm done with it never crosses my mind. After a while, I get the urge to play it again. But when I bhought a game that's sh*t, I just bring it back to the store to get a refund, or swap it for another game of around the same price.

I keep good games, ones I imagine myself returning to. But only while I still own the console they are for. The rest I give away. The money you get for trade ins is nothing, you could run through it with the petrol you spent getting to the store. What's the point?

Well, if I return them back to the store with the ticket in 14 days, I get a refund. Isn't that normal?

Yeah that's fine. I meant more long term trade ins. If I'm trading in a game soon after I bought it it's usually because I made a mistake in buying it.

I traded in a few xbox games (the only games I have ever traded in) and got most of a couple of 360 games., which was fine with me since I was going to buy the new games anyway

I only traded in a few games, and that was only because they were either A) Terrible or B) had no replay value. Of course, this was when I learned that Gamestop only gives you one dollar per game, and so I stopped even bothering with it and started holding on to all my games.

They'll buy that for a dollar?

Wow.. lame.

I have a few games I don't see me touching again, like medal of honor for the wii.. I have killzone 2 but with 3 coming out in a month or so I figured I wouldn't be going back to that either. But for $1, I'll keep em on the shelf

I keep almost every game. Sold only a few ( maybe 1/100 ).
Old games need more shelf space than new ones, but I like to have those playable ( ie machine to run it always set up ) handy.

I trade/sell a lot of games, mainly the ones that I probably won't play again or I have no emotional attachment to (I kept a lot of old PS1/PS2 games because they mean a lot to me, and represent a part of my childhood that I can't get rid of).

Yeah, I think I traded Killzone 1, Shadow of the Colosus, Megaman RPG, and something else, and they gave me a dollar per game. Only one I really regret was Shadow of the Colosus, but lets face it, that game didn't have much for Replay or story.

I keep games which I like and are good for mementos sake. Which is why I regret selling some games I liked when I was younger.

I've given up on the whole cellphoe/gadget craze. It's just getting stupid now. My contract with CrapT&T is up in 5 months, when that happens I'm switching and I'm taking whatever free phone they offer and that's that. Not worth dropping $300+ on something you're gonna throw away, and will probably break before the contact is up anyway. I swear they're designed to break when there's a couple months left, so you'll get a new phone and get stuck with another 2 year contract, or stuck with an early cancel fee.

I love how AT&T raised their cancel fees a little while ago, when they knew about Verizon taking over iPhones so they can gouge all the kids that jump ship.

I keep the games I really like, I sell the ones I played once or twice and have no desire to play again or no sentimental value for.

I keep them, every once in a while I mosey through them and pull out the ones I no longer want, then give them to my nephews. But other than that: Keep! Keep! Keep! Still have HL1 and expansions, SC1 and Brood War, heck I still have Loom, Sam & Max, Warwind 2 - Human Onslaught and Final Liberation.

Forever, usually. If I do sell them, it's not to gamestop, because gamestop is a horrible abomination upon the industry.

I tend to sell games when I get bored of them, this sometimes turns out to be a mistake and i'm trying my best to build up a stack so I don't end up regretting anything.

Also a nice stack of games looks pretty.

I've done the Gamestop trade-in deal once, with a stack of like 8 games that I knew I wouldn't play again (save for Metroid Prime, but the original plan was to use the money to buy Trilogy). When I got a total of like 20 bucks for all of them, and a whopping 54 cents for one of them, I decided to just keep every game I own. There's a point where it just isn't worth it to sell it.
