I've had my sternguard lying around for a while, but no army to use them in, so I figured I'd paint em' up with a color I've never done before.

Here's the result:

Well you pulled off the hardest colour to paint ... Gj . it looks sharp too.

The rusted look on his armor represents it well on how long you left it there XD

Yea I'm thinking of adding some damage to the finished product. I'll update when I get some time.

Wow you did a great job on one of the HARDEST colors to paint and get right! Would love to see more figures painted the same.

Looks good mate! took me 5 attempts to get it right yellow is a nightmare.

The yellow looks amazing!!!!!!!!! I am not all praise however: The battle-damage IMO looks horrible, totally out of place on such a well painted figure.

I prefer the second yellow, looks much richer and more imperial fist imho.

I like the yellow on the power fist guy, as well as the face. Well done!

I think the battle damage looks Ok but might I suggest using a brown instead of a black base for the damage effects it goes much better with yellow in my opinion if your using citadel paints watered down scorched brown works great. Aside from that great stuff, always great to see another Imperial fist born.

Yea I like the second one better. I'm painting up some other models with the same scheme. I'll update tonight if I'm done.

Thanks, I'll try that. Do you have any examples you can post or point me towards?

Here's another update. Took me a few days to complete due to the fact I actually painted up 10 whole models, a new record for me.

Its a base of Golden yellow with Sepia wash, then highlight, the light ogryn flesh.
