Every once in a while, I dream of an event, involving me, then it ends up happening a certain time after I had dreamt it. These are the only dreams I can seem to remember. I don't dream often either and when I do, it's either like how I described or I forget it immediately. Normally, I am an observer in the event, and when it does eventually happen, I am standing right there, exactly where the dream's point of view places me. Usually it's a non-significant event, like tying my shoe or hearing a person speak. The longest interval between the dream and the event happening was about a year long or so.

I've been dreaming like this as far as I can remember.

Anyone else who has these kinds of dreams?

Yeah, it's called "confirmation bias". It's a spooky, yet ordinary, effect of using an organic brain.

I hope that Microsoft launches Brain 2.0 edition real soon as these security flaws need to be removed from the software.

Even entire words or test answers? I jot a lot of them done before they happen. They end up the same when the dreamt event happens.

LLF, define occasionally? The smallest time interval I recorded was about four days prior. It used to happen a lot when I was younger.

About once every two weeks, usually about two days prior to the event.

Oh I see so "confirmation bias" wasn't a good enough answer. Would you like someone to tell you you're a Seer and can predict the future?

It isn't incredibly rare for humans to display premonition 'skills' (for want of a better word), for example, some people before boarding the Titanic (or was it the big one Brunel built?) had a bad feeling and decided not to board, thus probably saving their lives.

I personally like to believe in physic ability and such, just makes life so much more fun.

My dad used to "claim" that something similar to what you describe often happened to him.

He was on a great deal of prescription medication for his back…

Unless you are a psychic i would say it is nothing more than deja vu. It is possible you never dreampt of it in the first place. There are of course times were you can predict or at least make real, conciously or unconciously, what happens in a dream.

I doubt you are recalling dreams in that much clarity. What probably happens is that your memory of a dream is jogged by real world events, you therefore remember the occasional dream and forget the majority. The very nature of confirmation bias.

Also I doubt you have ever dreamt the answers to a test paper in a manner where you could write it down when you've woken up. You've dreamt about a test maybe, then sat a paper and your brain has subsequently convinced you that the dream was *far* more similar to the real events then it actually was. In fact like most dreams it was probably fragmentary and confused, your brain picks out the few things that it can make sense of in light of real world experiences and then fills a few gaps with a bit of imagination... it's no surprise then that the memory of a past dream would suddenly seem like something happening right now.

In summary, you've not got precognitive powers.

The sarcasm was not unnecessary; you were given an answer but denied it in favor of thinking you had special powers.

What does your profile (being a Son of Horus) or your current location have to do with anything?

Probably work

Man, this one time, I had a dream that I had a ham sandwich from Lenny's, the place just down from work. It was REALLY realistic too. It made me hungry when I woke up, like you wouldn't believe. Well, what do you know? That afternoon I totally went there for lunch and got...A HAM SANDWICH! I know, right?! It was just like in my dream. I drove there and everything!

It seems odd that we, the few unique and gifted, all somehow found each other. We should start a club.

Quite. I know I don't have pre-cognitive , I was asking if everyone else did have those dreams , and apparently you do, but the mocking answers weren't really necessary.

Serves me right for asking for serious answer from Dakka, eh?
