OK So I saw this Gunship thing that I never even heard of before. I even have a friend who has blood angels and I don't even recall seeing it in the new codex or anything. Now I went and saw this thing and was like....SUPER Jelly that my space wolves do not have anything remotely as cool looking. I mean why does this crappy (Dont really mean that) army get something this awesome looking and I am stuck with Vanilla marines with fur coats? WHY?! POR QUE?

Now if that was not enough I went to the nearest gamestore to pick up my new Ork HQ Guy and return a pot of paint that when was opened it was solid all the way through. He showed it off to me and told me about it. Apparently this fething Ship can carry 12 guys AND A fething DREAD! Not only that but it has an assault ramp or something slowed like that can let you FREAKEN ASSAULT AFTER DISEMBARKING THIS DAMNED...skimmer...I think its also a fast skimmer I dunno....does not matter.

What PISSES ME OFF...OOOOH...Hey guys lets make Blood Angels Vehicles even more broken than ever and MAKE IF GOD DAMNED IMMUNE TO MELTA WEAPONS!

WHY? Why would Games workshop release something so incredibly broken like that? I don't care what army it is. NO...Not a single army should have something that O/Ped! I do not care if its an assault version of Orks or w/e. That is freaken B/S and Now I hate Blood Angels because now that kit is out. Everyone is gonna jump on the Blood Angel Band Wagon, Do nothing but make slowed Combat teams that no one can deal with and flood their army as much as possibly with those. Like three squads of Termi's or death guard with power weapons and a furioso dread or some gay gak like that.

I mean sure! This means that I will see less of the pain in the rear Nurgle Chaos Marines with the lash of submission spam that Is ever so presant in my area but...this is even worst.

It isn't so bad. If you load it up fully it is a lot of points in one place, so if you can bring it down away from your forces they will all be out of position and you have the upper hand.

Just be thankful that it doesn't have scout, then we would all be dead.

Really? You didn't know about this? And please SW have a decent codex and i am happy with it, sure they don't have fancy gadgets but that's because they don't go in for fancy gadgets they go for having a bigger stick than the people they're facing.
At any rate at least GW are making (hopefully) the alien races pretty damn cool. I am for some reason getting very excited about Necrons despite not knowing whther they will get a codex updaye anytime soon...

Besides that, the Stormraven is a Heavy Support choice that costs almost as much as a Land Raider. Really not that OP'ed at all.

Space Wolf Long Fangs with missile launchers will drop Stormravens pretty easily. it's only AV12.

granted, if you don't drop it, it, and what it's carrying, will rip you to shreds.




There are many BA players with their own custom stormravens currently so they arn't anything new. your local BA player(s) may not have had one because there wasn't an official model.

Lascannons will take it down. 5 Long Fangs have a decent chance of crippling it with Missiles. Hell, even Meltas and Multi-meltas are Strength 8 and AP 1, so they don't have a bad chance of doing it, either.

Even with the no-melta rule, it's still AV12. Get over it.

Is the Stormraven a hamfisted entry with far too many toys and a ridiculous model that looks like it was designed by Mattel or Playmobile instead of Games Workshop? Yes.

Are BA's alone in this? Next to SW's ridiculously undercosted Grey Hunters, 140pt 5 ML split fire Long Fang squads, across the board Counterattack, and cheap upgrade options for the most common wargear items (e.g. flamers, sergeant equivalent upgrade weapon costs, etc), JotWW & Living Lightning, TWC's, etc ad nauseum, I don't think Space Wolves have any room to complain.


This also isn't exactly new, the rules for the Stormraven have been out for like 8 months now.

Calm down. It's standard GW stuff you(like the rest of us) will learn to deal.

-It isn't that OP. It's a LR with cover save, slightly more firepower and can carry a dread for 20 less points*, with worse armour. Hit it with your LF's and watch it go down in a ball of fire- AV 12/12/12 is easy to crack. Chances are, the player's best unit is in it, and if you shoot it with 5 lascannons/ML's turn 1, thier best unit is now stranded with some footsloggers, and if they're doing assault squad spam then the rest of the army will now be well ahead of them, unless they're doing sanguard spam as well, inside the stormpelican.
If it makes you feel any better, you have superhumans riding giant wolves, and the model for it is terrible.

*assuming it has a TL lascannon, TL multi-melta and 2 hurricane bolters.

Not really. The two languages are closely related. In both "why" is constructed from the words for "for" and "what". In Spanish "por" and "que" in French "pour" and "quoi" and in Latin from which both are descended "pro" and "quid," though that isn't how you say "why" in Latin.

Your army is as good as BA and you both have an even amount of cheese. C:BA and C:SW are both better than C:SM IMO (same amt. of SC's, same units +more) and a heck of a lot better than tau, eldar, CSM, necrons, GK and SoB. Obvious troll is obvious.
