This is just a post to see where and what room people do their painting and modeling.

I was wondering as I've been converting my cellar so I can now have my area set up without worry. That and my Fiancee wants the spare room back as it was.

I've had a table set up for painting in the spare room for over a year now (since I started) and agreed to move everything into the cellar. Its only a small cellar so I have less room for storing stuff but at least she's off my back and we can finish the spare room. I've got a heater and TV down there so thats me sorted. I did used to do my spraying down there i'll have to get some sort of extraction set up for that now.

My friend does his in his front room on a coffee table.

I just wondered if anyone else has any other stories or views about where they do their painting.

I have a room with all my 40k and modeling crap in it. Big fancy desk and all that. Took me like 2 months ot set up.

That being said, its in the back of the house and it gets too quiet back there. So Im doing most of my painting these days in my living room. I have a project tray that I pile some minis and the needed paints upon, and I park myself in front of the TV on the floor and listen to history channel while I bring color to my little gaming world

My basement is unfinished so we have thrown down extra carpet as rugs and their is little repercussion for spilling paint so I paint down here. Also, flat screen 42" lcd TV, xbox, computer is also down there so all is well in the Man-cave.

I have a few places were i setup. When spray painting(primer) basement. usually when i dont want to be bothered ill paint in the den or the office room what ever room you want to call it. When i need some back round noise ill go into my living room, that being said i had a very playful dog and when i was painting in the living room he had jumped on my lap and split my blood red paint all over the couch. the GF was devistated... good thing we got that piece of furniture from free cycle.

Cheers, lads and dames.

My cellar gets pretty cold (for a British winter) but I put a heater down there. At least I can stay set up and its ready whenever I feel like it.

I had a battle for the spare room, of which the results were not good for me, hence the cellar.

Also I didnt realise I had so much modelling stuff, you should try moving it all one day, and storing it all is a nightmare.

My wife gave me half of a desk in our office (its a huge desk) and let me buy all the foam I needed for all of my armies so that I could maintain ordered chaos. Right now I've got several portable warfare cases each containing an army. In my room I've got a TV, Computer, and radio. I feel like I'm set
