My wife and I bought a house in October of last year and I'm in the process of taking over the majority of the basement and turning it into my Nerd Bunker. Here's the start of the saga on my blog: http://atomsmashing.wordpress.com/2010/11/07/start-of-a-saga-the-nerd-bunker/

However, until that's done, I've been painting wherever I can find a flat space (gameshop, coffeeshop, TV tray in the den, friends house) and lugging my paints around in a big Plano fishing tacklebox. It works pretty well, actually. I'll probably keep most of my paints and tools in there even after I get the Nerd Bunker set up. It's handy.

I have a large work bench in the basement that I build terrain on. I also store all my finished terrain boards in that room. Up stairs I have my own work room. I keep all the stuff that is purely mine up there. (comics, movies, books, and minis) There is also a large black desk where I do my painting and modeling. Its a nice set up...

The frint room of my house is my Games Room. Althoguh there is not much room to actually play any games in it at the moment. Needs a bit of a tidy.

Apologies for talking positively about games I enjoy.

Dining room table, using one of those green cutting mats to protect the surface. Recently moved in with my fiancée, so we haven't gotten a chance to pick up a proper painting desk and whatnot yet.

When I was on course in the states my setup ruled my world.

I had a room to myself (not very common in the military), so I had my laptop to my my right playing season after season of Dexter, and my workspace on the left.

Now that I'm home with a 9 month old adventurer, I do my painting in the spare bedroom away from her eager hands. Hopefully it's a sign she wants to be a future nerd, and not some trollop.

My man cave basement has been reserved for gaming, RC Planing, and the stink of my hockey gear. And besides, you can't beat natural sunlight.

Guard Heavy Weapon Crewman

On TV corrupting the minds of children.

I used to paint in my kitchen but I was moved to my bedroom as I have a painting station set up there but it was covered in junk so I had to move everything. (which isn't fun at 11pm) However if I had a cellar I would be painting in there.

Prone to weakness,
But I am a Guardsman,
Where weakness is death,
I will crush my weakness,
With the weight of my pride.

Man-nook. We don't have the space for a man-cave, so I've taken over a corner of the bedroom. I've got a decent sized table, but so much of it is given over to storage that the work area leaves a bit to be desired. The nice part is that I can go from my bookshelf to my computer to my hobby table just by spinning my chair.

There are pics in a few of the previous incarnations of this exact same thread, but I'm feeling too lazy to repost.
