The one with 3 TL LC makes my Ultramarines cry themselves to sleep at night.
HB on it are optional, its useful if you have a few extra points, and want the bird to do something after its cracked open every tank on the table.
That's the one I recommended.

Universal? One of each. Vendetta base, Valk: Multilaser, Door Heavy Bolters, Missile Pods. The Valk puts down some serious hurt on Hordes.

If only one, go with the Vendetta. You'll need the AT fire more than the concentrated Anti-horde of the Valk.

I take 2 vends and a valk with MRP's. Get the best of both worlds. Its hard to say which one is better since they do different roles.
The one thing that i think puts the valk over the vend though is the MRP's. Move 12" and fire the ML and the pods. Great way to move out of harms way without sacrificing any firepower.

Valkyrie: 100pts/ model and is infatry killing mashine with multi laser and two hellfyry missiles. Vandetta: 130pts/ model and is ultimate vesicle killer with 3 tl lc. It depends lot what you are going to do with fast, skimmer scout, how much points you are ready to pay and what you are going to do with it!

Use them to bolster what is lacking in your army.
If you have plenty of anti-tank go with a Valk W/ ML+rocket pods.
If you have plenty of anti-Infantry Go for vendetta.
The Missiles are poor choices. Hellstrikes are 1 shot poor anti-tank weapons on a frame that can specialize in anti-infantry and be good at it(and a lascannon on a valk increases the price to nearly that of a vendetta, but isn't T-L nor does it have the 2 other t-l lascannons to back it up). Hellfury missiles drop what makes the vendetta such a great value to add 2 1-shot, large-blast, extreme-ranged bolters. So you pay effectively the same price as the Valk+Pods for a t-l lascannon Valk, that can only fire it's anti-infantry weapons once.

Vendetta with its 3 tl las cannons is your best ranged anti tank. You can get templates from heavy choices like Manticores.

This. Horde killing is what the Heavy choices are excellent at. My list usually includes a couple Manticores, that's all I usually need.
Also, lasguns are good at softening things up with FRFSRF.

You might as well pay 130 points no matter which one you pick. The Vendetta is your anti-tank option and your Valkyrie with Missile Pods is your anti-Infantry solution. Considering how much mechanized infantry you see these days the Vendetta is probably the better all-comers choice.

Vendetta is a much better all comers choice.
The only thing IG players will never agree upon is if you should give them HB.

If Vendettas were 140 points with non removable HB you would still take them just as much

schadenfreude has it right in that I will quite plainly disagree with L. Wrex here. HB sponsons are a great idea for Vendettas, but horrible for Valkyries. On Vendettas, you're likely to be moving 6" so you can fire all three LCs, so there's no loss there to add HBs. Valks, however, benefit from being able to more 12" and firing everything. HBs either ruin this, or won't get fired.
HBs on a sponson add flexibility for a ridiculously cheap overhead. If you face a swarm-ish list, or even one with not too much mech, the LasCannons can end up being much less effective. If you add HBs, then the Vendetta can fire at infantry and get a lot more done. I've had numerous instances where it's more tactically opportune to shoot a unit off of an objective with a Vendetta instead of firing at armor or heavy infantry. 10 points is worth that flexibility to me.
Of course, there are times when you really need those 10 points. Basically I build lists with 140 slotted for each Vendetta, but they get dropped really quickly if I could affort another unit instead.

Here's the crux; Vendettas are anti-armour. Spending 10pts on them is pushing them down a path that they were never intended for. Valkyries are anti-infantry. Spending 10pts on HBs here doesn't break the role of the model, it merely enforces it further.
For the sake of 10pts I think it comes down to purely personal preference. Much like putting a heavy stubber on a Chimera or a dozer blade on a Demolisher, it isn't going to vastly change the game or the way your army performs, but its kind of nice to have if you have the points available.

Giving up 2 of your 3 TL lascannons for a couple of one-shot hellfury missiles isn't worth it, especially in a list like yours where you already have ubiquitous anti-infantry. EDIT: Heh, whoops. Two heavy bolters for ten points is a decent deal on either Valkyries or Vendettas. For the Vendetta, they add a little extra punch against light armor, and a better ability to hit infantry if/when the enemy armor is down. For the Valkyrie, they add more anti-infantry firepower on top of its MRPs.

I would also say the vendetta. Stick in a cheap flamer or demo/flamer SWS and you give it some emergency anti infantry fire and make it scoring.
Where vendettas really start to shine is in apocalypse when they become fliers. You always hit on side armour, can fire all the weapons at any speed and gain a load of extra resilience.

Vendetta if your planning on only using one since TL LC are your best bet for anti AV. Also always no HB on Vendettas ever.
Valkyries should be used in bulk IMO in aircav lists and even then you'd still have Vendettas too. Hellfury missiles are meh BTW.

I really think everybody who issues the blanket "no HBs on Vendettas ever ever never no way" statement are missing out on something. Like I said before, they can really come in handy.
Usually I'm not in favour of upgrades that add minor flexibility on the off chance they'll come in handy, but I don't think the HBs fall into that category. If you play a Vendetta and face a horde army and have no AV or high-toughness to fire at, then you have three over-costed shots. If you add HBs, then you pay 10 points to triple the number of shots. In a mech army, there are still infantry, and still occasions that more shots is worth it.
With HBs, you can't face a list that renders a Vendetta ineffective. They're not an "always" choice, but they're pretty close.
