Here is a tutorial on how I go about painting skin. I have used a Dwarf as a model because of the amount of skin available. I use this exact colour scheme to do my space marine faces. I hope it helps someone out there.

This is a big help. I am just getting into the whole skin painting myself, and I have discovered that I am horrible at it. This tutorial is a big help though. (I just have to adapt it to Dark Eldar pale skin.)
Hi just watched your tutorial and it was a great help. My only criticism is that the music was a bit loud making what you were saying hard to make out at times but maybe that's just my old ears.
I watched this and then applied it to a Commisar I'm working on, and I thoroughly enjoy the results. I only made one teeny tiny little variation, but other than that I think you've come across a very simple and very effective way of painting flesh!
If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.
Good tut! I have yet to put a non helmeted face on any of my space marines, but i intend to with my new librarian! Thanks for the tips i will surely use them.
I was never any good at doing faces and I now know 2 different ways to paint faces so cant wait to give your's a try.
Also loved the comment about liquid skill had me laughing at my desk.
