Fellas, my work here is done. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Well, done sleazing up the place for now anyway. In the interest of getting this a bit more on-topic, here are some crappy pictures of one of my few completed conversions.

Hello all! I started Warhammer 40k up (for the second time) back in May. These guys are for my completely custom chapter called the Legion of Death. I've also written a codex for them, which I have to almost completely re-write.

Anywho, These guys:

The first guy's weapon is one of the nemesis warding staves from either the GK or GKT boxes plus two falchion blades. The guy in back has a DE whip and a custom teleporty backpack.
Spoiler:
This guy has the head of a Necron Warrior and a SM combat shield made from two DE blades and a bunch of Necron bits.
Spoiler:

Now this guy is my favorite of the bunch, because he was the first I actually put a lot of work into. Completely custom hammers, made from four bolters, purity seals, servo-skull halos, and some Dark Eldar doohickeys. I sanded away all of the chaos insignia on the shoulders, but the left leg leaves a little something to be desired.
Spoiler:

This guy is my second favorite, because he looks so good. The base, however, does not.
Spoiler:

Lastly, this guy. Just.... this guy. Not entirely painted.
Spoiler:

I also have a Gundam model I am attempting to turn into a walker. It turns out that Gundam models don't jive well with WH40k stuff. Next purchase: Hot knife.

The pilot is from the penitant engine I believe, Is this a chaos creation or some sort of adeptus experiment? perhapse it's a penitant knight? I like what you did there and in my opinion it looks much better than the baby carrier look.

I love the look of your models McNinja! The poses are very powerful and cool. I would like to get my hands on some necron heads and make some Marines like that. Keep it up and welcome to dakka!

Nice shield/hammer smeg. I'm liking it a lot! I need to get around to putting my kanz together...

Check out my Project (B)log! I would love any suggestion or comments you may have.

nice but a bit boobtastic for a commissar in my opinion. Unless she's leading an all femal guard army there's way to much temtation for the footslogging guardsMEN right there even if they are traitor guard.

There will be no MEN, in this army (if I ever do more than this model), I'm thinking all female. I'm still looking for coversion bits that make me say "WOW", but I'm not in a hurry. Hope you like the model apart from the excessive boobs!

I know a lot of people who want to have an all female guard army....but I have to ask why? I think it would be kinda cool and diffent but why not just start the SoB?

I suppose there are many reasons not to do sisters of battle including not being inclined to run that army list? however an all female impy guard army could happen for various reasons not least of which is all the men buggering off to war or a strange sub culture building up on a forgotten world whereby the females are the more aggresive? many many reasons..... so much potential army fluff.....

I like to scratch build my ork battlewagons. Lavishing hours on building my own vehicles. Then one day someome asked me why. " Why, Dakka Dan, oh why don't you just buy battlewagon kits. It'd be so much easier" they asked. I thought quietly for a moment then I beat them to death with their own crown royal dice bag.

I didn't mean to thread-jack this thread, but I'll answer questions.

Zeke 169 wrote:how much GS did you put into that thing?
Almost all of it!
This is how it started out!

I don't know if it still counts as a conversion though...but I did convert it from a paperclip to a commissar...so I guess that should do it!
If you are interested in the build, there is a link to the thread in my signature. And thanks!

WarPetrie wrote: but why not just start the SoB?

I don't like the SoB. And they are all metal, so little or no conversions. 90% of my models are at least moderately converted. (I know it would be easier, but I'm not in this to take the easy road! )

I usually just tell people because I will have vehicles/models that no one else has or will ever have. But I like your response too!

Thank you all for the nice comments!
And now someone else post a conversion!

As a dedicated SoB player - I agree...soooo much metal, still hoping we get plastic or resin models soon (especially now with the new WD Codex). Although - I do have a handful of conversions - look at my Seraphim Biker:

Now after seeing what you have going on here though Jake - I might have to start an IG army!?

Very cool DE conversion Breotan!

Also, I'm loving that Looted Wagon, Warpseer! The orks on the side ports look fantastic. The guns all have a lot of character and orkyness. The paint job is also well done! Welcome to Dakka, btw.

Thanks for the compliments folks!

I do have some more pics up in my gallery of some of my stuff, not a lot of the Orks though. I did put up some Oddboyz however.

Painboy's Urty Syringe was made froma power klaw, shoota and banner pole. The other is "Gordork Freeman" for those a fan of Half-life. Crowbar and all, might try to get glasses on him.
