i just double clicked on one of my posts accidentally and it *very* quickly entered an edit mode. when did dakka introduce that awesomesauce feature? pure genius! now.. can you send an email forumowner to forumowner over to FFG so that they realize *ANY* ability to edit a post is a good thing, let alone a sweet quick edit like this!?

It's been a feature for quite a while now, I believe. As long as I can remember anyway.

lol...um, well... keep up the good work then! i'm sure i'll comment on any snazzy new features you implement now a few years down the line, apparently. it just never occurred to me to double click on my own posts as i've always just used the edit button instead.

I just discovered this very recently myself. Go figure

Still haven't trained myself to use it, I'm always clicking the "edit" button and doing the full bore . And I frequently edit posts, so this could be a big time-saver if I could just hop on the train!

It has been improved greatly by not exiting the edit if you click outside the text box as well - a very nice feature that has, prior to its addition, caused me to loose large chunks of edity goodness
