Thank you,

Kilkrazy
So this Mod issue a warning to me because I refused to answer him.
Is there a new rule in dakka that forumers are OBLIGED to answer any general question the Mod ask? Otherwise, they will be issued a warning?

Kilkrazy, tell me you arent abusing your authority :-)

What was the question?

Edit: I mean, he is right; it is rude to refuse to answer a simple question in a dismissive manner. If you had a transcript of the dialogue between you and Killkrazy it would be helpful. Although you don't have to answer any question the mods give you, being polite to one another is heavily encouraged is not enforced here.

This would be better conducted in PM's with the mod in question.

It was a question regarding balances between codex.
I didnt like the way he discuss or ask questions using one liners, so i dismissed his qn and refuse to answer him.
Then he sent me a dakka moderator warning.

i was like, wth?

I said I don't see how his one liner question has anything to do with the topic at hand, and refuse to answer him. I don't see how that would be considered rude, especially when I didnt even call him names.

So you were talking on a forum and you didn't want to talk?

You realize that conversations are generally started by one line questions and answers? If you didn't feel like talking then you could just not have posted. Being rude to mod is not an amazing idea if you want my opinion.

Edit: could you post a link to the topic in question?

In that case all I can suggest is contacting one of the admins with your issue so they can investigate it.

Having not seen your correspondance or indeed the original cause of the dispute, I cannot say whether I would feel that it warrents such an action. That would be a judgement call on your behalf.

I answered other points that I felt were valid. When he ask another question using a single liner, i just told him i aint going to answer that until he show me how that was relevant. He didnt, couldnt or whatever. And I said I ll give him one night to think about it.

I guess next time the best thing i should do is to ignore people like him.

Also, rude? Seriously? That was rude?

Well to be fair, you've yet to post a link or transcript of dialogue, for all I know you could just be trying to stir up trouble. I'll apologize if you feel offended by my posts but at the moment it seems that your over reacting slightly and until I look at the evidence I can't decide whether or not Killkrazy was out of his powers.

It has been known for mods to make mistakes so I'm open to that concept.

It seems you have a bias view here. In any case, it's up to the Mod to do that, not me.

Overreacting for receiving a warning for nothing?

Looked at his profile, and this seems to be the topic he's talking about: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/346271.page

And...from what I read, striderx is being a lot more arrogant and insulting in those posts than Killkrazy was....IMO

You're reacting very negatively here. And still haven't provided the link in question. Not that I think you should be rabblerousing rather than addressing the issue with an admin.

Of course my comments are biased, you've yet to prove any evidence, despite repeated requests, that what you have said has happened.

You know, you could be completely right. You could have said respectfully that you didn't want to answer question such and such because you thought it was irrelevant.

But on the other hand, you could have simply missed out questions that other thought relevant and then replied aggressively when asked about them.

Until I read the topic it is impossible to be completely objective. I side with the Mod because I've known him here for some time as one of the better mods. I can't trust you because your subjective (nothing personal, its just sort of automatic if your the 'victim'). Provide a link or transcript and I may be of more help.

And I m afraid you are wrong. In fact, VERY wrong.

I m guessing you OR the crowd you are playing with are still learning the game (not as in the rules, but higher level tactics and strategy).

There is a difference between the 2, you know that?

I can answer you anytime, but you are not showing how this has relevance to the issue at hand. So I don't see the need to.

LOL, whatever floats your boat. I m not obliged to answer your question if you don't even know what you are asking for. I will appear quite stupid responding to a random question. How about I ask you how old is your dog, or if you have any.

All of these (especially talking to someone like Killkrazy who has thousands of posts, and obviously a lot more experience with the systems at hand) are either condecending, rude, or insinuating things about a person you know nothing about.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

I believe this is the thread in question.

Yackface and Legoburner are both admins, however, I am reporting this thread so hopefully some of the mods can take a look at it.

Personally I think you were being overly combative to everyone who questioned you. It is all well and good having a point of view which differs from accepted norms, however, you singularly failed to provide anything in the way of backing for it. When presented with fact, supposition and opinion, you failed to aknowledge the validity of their arguments and, if not "lashed out", certainly became more significantly more closed and kept on repeating the same things over and over again without dealing with the questions being asked - the others had already pointed out their thoughts and the reasons for them so they had little to actually answer. It was you as a challanger who is required to step up to that particular plate.

Somewhere.

Yakface. Or legoburner, I think is the other admin.

And, honestly, KillKrazy asked you fairly polite why you thought something. He didn't right a grand essay on why he wanted you to ask, simply asked his question and moved on. It was pretty rude to blow him off as you did. It would have been much simpler to explain why you felt as you did, rather than telling him you already had. I couldn't work out why you were telling him that, honestly, since there wasn't any real answer.

OP ever stop to think it may have actually been you? Emotion is typically hard to express through text. Simply you could have both seen each other in a negative way when it wasn't intended to.

Either way, like Silver said, it is a way better idea to handle this calmly and through the PM system rather than here and make yourself look like a fool.

Actually I was reading the thread in question and personally I think yes, you were rude. Yes, you were dismissive and you deserve everything you got, quite frankly. And it seems to be inherent in your posting style since you are getting more and more aggressive with posters in this thread who dare question your opinion. You need to learn to relax, and digest what people are saying instead of jumping in with both feet at any given opportunity.

To be honest, most people are going to side with a well-known and well respected Mod rather than some random newcomer. You have to earn the right for your views to be respected through proper open and polite discourse before people will take you seriously.

But as mentioned, this doesn't belong here and is not an appropriate forum (no pun intended) to vent your grievances.

Take it up with Yak or KK in PM.

Indeed, and this was an opinion shared by more than just Mr. Kilkrazy.

This is also not the correct way to raise any complaint you may have with regards to a decision made by a MOD. If you have such an issue then you need to either contact another MOD or either of Messrs Legoburner or Yakface.
