It sounds like you're referring to the Sanguinor. Check out the BA codex.

I concur, but only in the roughest aspect. Check what you heard against this article about the Sanguinor:

Nope, not the Sanguinor...

And i don't want to buy the BA codex just for this... ( I got the Sanguinor modell btw)

And these guys i'm talking about where knights who dissepeard ( Puff! and nobody know where they are.. xD ) Right after the death Sanguinius.

What i have heard is that they where 3 battle brothers, that they had golden armor, and now they are ghosts...

everytime someone se them they got different armor and wepons, but somhow they are the same... :S

Never heard anything like that before either. Was it in some of the early fluff of the BA? In this case, it might have been removed and replaced by the Sanguinor fluff in more recent publications. As Guildsman said, these two stories sound similar.

"How many more worlds do we sacrifice? How many more millions or billions do we betray before we turn and fight?" - attributed to Captain Leoten Semper of Battlefleet Gothic - Gothic War, the evacuation of Belatis.

If commanding a Titan is a measure of true power, then commanding a warship is like having one foot on the Golden Throne - Navy saying.

-well i thought the same thing when i heard of this the first time, there is only 4 types of armor :S maybe they look different in the desing???

And i have seen people talking about it on the net, and i heard 2 guys talking about it in my local modellingstore...

So idk... Indeed it sounds pretty much like the sanguinor thing... :O

I'm thinking this as well.

Hmm its certainly not current fluff, BA captains sometimes wear "the gold" as a sign of honour, not sure if anyone outside the SG wore this in sanguinius' time. besides all but 1 of the SG were killed during the Heresy.

I cant remember codex:AoD very well and dont have it anymore but there is def no mention of this in 3rd ed dex.

sounds like an early version of the sanguinor to me, possibly obscure fluff from yonks ago that they decided to reuse in the new dex.

To be accurate, gold is the color of BA Artificer armor, not an honor color to have your armor painted. At least, that how it was pre-5th ed codex.

Platuan4th has it correct.

Gold helmet colouring was given to honour guards and some vets as a sign of status, but full gold armour represents artificer armour.
