So I saw this trailer the other day, and I was kind of shocked. It seems to take the zombie genre too far I think, and offends a large community of people: Namely parents.
I strongly advise against watching it if your sensitive about children. But for those who do watch it, I thought we could spark off a (Nice- no trolling) debate about the game, and whether or not you feel it's a game you'd be happy to buy.
England is very subjective. You can go see a film such as the currant 'Black Swan' no questions asked, or go to the pub for a pint without ID, but you can also be asked for proof of ID when buying a game with a '12' rating certificate on it.
Yes it is. But I have to say the following. Belgium is also the Game-land of the world. You can buy every game you want.
There was one game that got banned, but they just brought it out under a different name. (I'm refering to Bully)
It is quite clear that the family love and want to protect the child and that they would put themselves in danger to do so. Also showed how zombies have lost everything that made them a person.
The reverse play of the advert means that you gradually learn more about who the girl was and therefore grow a connection with her. You also learn just what the man and woman have lost to get where they are, so you also grow a connection to them.
I have to say I am looking forward to seeing this game a lot more now.
I just hope the whole game as as well thought out as the advert.

Thank you for spelling that
Looks interesting, but cinimatics don't prove gak anymore these days.
And don't worry Soup, it is supposed to be going backwards.
I was feigning buffoonery for comic effect.
As for the ad, definitely interesting stuff. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to tell uas anything other than 'ZOMBIES!' and that the publisher is willing to spend some money on pretty shorts. I'll reserve judgement until I see some gameplay.

You just took the words out of my mouth.
This one is definately on my radar now.
I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

Funny world isn't it?
Not how it works here, it's just that some places are very lax when it comes to IDing.
On the topic of the game: I've been following this since it was announced, then killed off.
I'm glad someone brought it back from the dead (badpunisbad).

Hehe aye, some stores just fail at the basics. We sell games at our shop and we'll check ID on anyone buying the 15, 18 games.
Hell I'll check ID on most Games Mags, as they are often rated 15 or 18 due to the cover disc content.
edit - as to the game, just watched the vid, and impressive emotion through out the vid, if the game can bring some of that into the game intself, it could be massive. Walking dead seems to be inspiring things atm, not a bad situation to have.

It was sort of switching between going backwards and going forwards, until the two timelines meet. I think.
Regardless, it looks interesting, but I'd have to find actual gameplay footage before I Get excited.
The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

My blog
Amazing graphics/visuals, but it is not for my house.
I have an 8 year old daughter and try to keep stuff like that off the TV. Anyway, the only game system we have is a Wii she uses and I only have gotten kid friendly games for her.
Again, cool, but not for my family and me.
