Fire Dragon approaches completion. Sorry about the flash, but the silver really is very bright, which was part of the plan. The glow is obviously still ongoing.

the cloth and the eldar signs looks very good!

where i still see some need of detailing is the lance... the cord and i think some other details in different colors are needed....

other than that... whoever looks as sharp as that deserves to roast a lanspeeder

Thanks mate! And yes, the lance is not as far along as the rest. I had originally planned burnished gold for it, but I'm glad I stuck with silver. However, I'll add some contrasts in other colours to the pipework at the very least. Fair point.

I like the colors, very dark and stealthy. All the details are really showing now

i think the burnished gold would be too near to the armor of the eldar... then these colors would bite each other... so silver was indeed the better choice!

(tho..if you had made the eldar green in scheme then a burnished golden lance would have been perfect^^)

My entry for the great repurposing. Take one Rapier Miniatures Griffon designed as an antagonist for Classical Grecian forces and take a Bacchus War of the Roses Mounted Commander.


Add hacksaw and insanity



Voila a mounted commander on Griffon or Baron Tourville of New Haven.
Please note those models are 6mm and that's a 25mm square base. Basically I chopped of the wings. With difficulty as they are cast together and chopped the griffon in half. Then I added the middle bit of the mounted commander with the horse and saddle between the head and hind quarter of the Griffon. I then stuck the back of the Griffon back on.

well i say under the circumstances of that harsh light of a flash up this close many details get shown rather wrong or even bader... shows stufff that isn´t to be seen under usual light scources...so i think no fear!

looks great graven...only i would have made that blast coming out of the landspeeder a bit longer... but everything looks nevertheless perfect!

Not a clue what I'm entering yet but does it have to start as a wargaming miniature from a game system? I just rescued two miniature display cars that I was throwing out because I noticed they are pretty close to 30mm scale. I'm considering repurposing them.
