Kind of looks vaguely like an Imperial At-ST from Star Wars but aside from that, I have no clue.

It is from Scotia Grendel's OOP Kryomek Game, the model (and variants) is still in production:

Damn, Kroothawk, you beat me to it! It's indeed a Kryomek walker. I've got a lot of the old Kryomek marines, SWAT guys and so on that I painted in my youth.

That's pretty awesome. I've wondered before how the Kryomek buildings scale up against current 28mm stuff. Do the other Kryomek buildings scale up well also?

Like has already been said.

It's a Kryomek walker. One of the large ones.
A "storm strider".
There were several different designs.
One with Cheek (x2) and chin weapons.
One with cheek(x2) only weapons.
One with Chin only weapon(s).
Wasn't sure if it was a Tiamat or one of the others.

About 6" tall (toe to top of hull).
Just a 'smidge' too tall to be a sentinel (Even an armoured one).

Make nice heavy (or light superheavy) walker vehicles though.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Kryomek is 25mm scale and it shows badly on most models, that's why I prefer this two story building (and the missile silos). The others look a tad too small, so you need to be a bit tolerant.

BTW currently I work on transforming this toy (Air Raiders Command Outpost) into a Tau building

I adore this building. My dad and I used to run Princess Ryan's Star Marines at Historicon every year and we'd always use this as a rebel base.

Thanks,
That's what I figured. I've see a few other Kryomek terrain pieces in person and they all seem like they'd be great for 15mm, but they seemed a bit small even for old 25mm stuff. Still it's kind of cool that the larger stuff scales well. Maybe if based on a rocky platform it'd look even bigger.

However, I just looked it up on both the scotia-Grendel (UK) and KRyomek USA site and I'm not convinced it's worth the prices they're charging these days. 30 bucks shipped from Kryomek USA or 15 bucks plus 40 bucks shipping from Scotia Grendel (UK)?!?! I guess I'll keep my eyes open on the 2nd hand market.

That Air Raiders toy is brilliant! I've never seen that line before. I guess I was too into GI Joe back in 87 to notice other toy lines.
