Since I'm re-making my Ork army I'm going to be re-making my Ork characters, I've got plans for my Warboss (Minotaur with GS, Kan/Nob/trukk bits) and my Weirdboy (Stormboyz body, WHFB boar boyz head, WHFB NG fanatics bodies with Grot heads that will look like they're keeping him from floating away but they'll actually be holding him up) but I'm stuck on my Big Mek.

I don't want to use the metal one at all but I can't really figure out what I'm going to do with him. All I know so far is I'm going to use the Burna Boy head with the welding visor and a combination of a Tau shield drone, IG vox caster and plasticard for his KFF. I was going to give him a counts as shoota and represent it with a Nail Driva but I forgot that a KFF replaces a Big Meks shoota.

So has anyone seen or have any plastic Big Mek conversions I could use for inspiration? Or just ideas on a good body, pose and weapon I could give him to represent his choppa besides a big wrench? Also I'm decent with GS so whatever body I use he'll be getting an apron. Thanks ahead of time

There are a few done with the AoBR Nob body. Given that a Mek tends to be a little weedier thank the Warboss, this makes the Nob quite suited for the job.

I also had a similar idea for the KFF. Search up in the gallery, there are a number of conversions using plastic components (most notably the Force Field Generator that came in the Battle for Macragg set).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

WIP Big Mek - half and half:

The KFF and Burna hand are metal from the metal Big Mek. The Mek Tools are combination metal from the Techmarine Servo Harness and plastic from the Runtherd. The rest is plastic - body is a Nob, head and Burna from the Burnas/Lootas kit. Robes are from Dark Angels! Marine is plastic Marine

Yeah Arduros link had it in there and I was google searching and found an unpainted picture of it. Good job on him he deffinitly fits

Oh hey here is an idea, I'm looking at my bits box and my tools (having a family in construction helps ) and I probably will use the actual AoBR warboss since it's even smaller then my new Warboss but what if I represented his choppa with a drill? I could still do what I'd planned for the Nail Driva it's just instead of a barrel for the nails I'd use one of the Killa Kan drills?
