Just wondering what the most effective all-comer loadout on a kan was. I reckon it's a toss up between KMB and rokkit depending on how many points you have left over to spend on upgrades in your list.

bs3 rokkits for sure, kmb are only really helpful vs. termmies and ad uneeded points.

Grotzookas are just fun though.

Grotzookas are the best anti-hoard, but that's one area where Orks are never lacking. Anti-tank is likely what your list needs. I reckon rokkits are better bang for your buck, as the 5 extra points for the KMBs add up when taking a full complement of kans. KMBs are better at vaporizing some elites with their AP2, but I just don't think they're worth the price tag in a Kan Wall. If you're only taking a few, they'll likely get picked off or do little damage, anyway, so I'd still save the points.

I like mega blastas because the Ap2 is so useful. Orks have problems with termies. In terms of shooting kans are not ideal but when it comes to shooting stuff that brings back a points dividend ther 2+ save targets are generally 'lucrative'.

Got only a little S8 firepower to send down the table, I prefered it was killing termies than marines.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

I'd give them rokkits, since you cannot have enough rokkits in an Ork army.

Yeah, Rokkits.

Orks really shouldn't have problems against either hordes (throw some Boyz at 'em!) or Terminators (throw some Boyz at 'em!) but they could definitely do with a hand against armour.

Grotzookas as they run behind my 3 BW's. They're fun and people are surprised how many shots they get.

+1 to what he said.

Specifically (since you're getting different opinions), the biggest challenge to Orks is opening vehicles. Nothing can do it better than rokkits. Getting those transports open so that you can eat the juicy contents is critical. Rokkits on your Kans, Lootas in the backfield, deffkoptas ranging ahead....ANYTHING to get those transports open.

Grotzookas are not the answer. They're fun, and I have 3 kans with Grotzookas on them, but if you're asking about how to load your kans up for competitive player, there's only one right answer. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people who want to give advice will always be people unqualified to give it. =D

Lol.
Personally the meta for my last few games was very conducive to KMBs. Without a doubt the AP2 is worth the 5 points. But being able to afford the 5 points is always an interesting juggle.

Rokkits come standard thou
