I think there are probably other Empires, or maybe were others. The great crusade may have been stopped before all humans were found, almost definately even. So other Empires could be there.
Alternatively, they may already have been destroyed by the advancing Tyranids for example? Or other xenos races?

Maybe there are other human cultures in other galaxies.
I don't know if the warp can reach other galaxies, but think of a human ship lost in the warp. Maybe this ship could emerge in another galaxy!

There are almost certainly other human empires aside from the Imperium in existence. Certainly nowhere near as large, but they exist for sure. This is most likely due to the fact that that the Imperium is completely unaware of their existence (or the ignorance is mutual).

Doubtful, if I recall correctly these other Human empires in Milky Way are technologically advanced even more than the Tau. Not even Tyranids could defeat them in that way, they would have just to advanced technology to battle with.

I seriously doubt Tyranids have eaten all other galaxies, in fact it is only feasible that they have devoured a couple others, as with such a long intergalactic transit period (talking 100s of millions of years), you might as well return to the last one you devoured as it would have regrown a whole mess of easily assimilated biomass. This leaves the theory that they are running from something. Oh and the warp peters out as you reach the fringe as there are no souls or emotions to construct it.

Which brings about the question of if they are running from something, what could cause Tyranids to run? And if its causing them to run,
a) maybe that had wiped out other larger empires, but leaving some smaller ones and
b) maybe the Imperium is better off fighting Tyranids than finding out
or it could be another Empire which is causing them to?

What do you mean "if i recall correctly"? As far as i know there has been nothing written on other galaxies apart from a short piece wheere a probe sent to the edge of this galaxy recieved ork transmissions supposedly from outside this galaxy.

For a warp incident to spit out humans in another galaxy there would already have to be intelligent creatures there. The warp only exists with emotions. If another galaxy only has barren rock or just basic life-forms the warp will not be present and therefore has no link to the milky way.

The warp does not obey the inverse square law, or the inverse law. In other words, it is equally strong all over the universe, as far as we know, and does not depend on the presence of intelligent creatures in a particular location.
That being the case, there is no reason why humans couldn't travel to other galaxies via warpspace, if they could find a way to navigate.

There are many other human empires in other galaxies...unfortunatly they each have thier own ruleset and fluff telling them they are the original or ultimate expression of human evolution...some have snazzy white armor, and desperate rebels, some have people in leotards running around studying gaseous anomalies, some have them being flushed through a huge vertical toliet ring, and yet others are in canceled universes.

I think Killkrazy is correct regarding then nature of the warp. The current state of the warp (a hellsih nightmare zone of deamons) is due to the emotions of sentient creatures, but the warp as the Old Ones supposedly built it didn't have this problem at the time.

Our reality floats on the warp like the white fluffy meringue on top of the lemon curd in a lemon meringue pie. That's our reality, not galaxies or universes but our physical reality as a planar realm, with all it's associated physical laws... Trying to work out which bit of the warp relates specifically to our galaxy is like trying to work out which is your favourite colour from a choice of pain, a guppy and the lyrics to 'Invisible Touch' by Genesis.

I think other human empires must definately exists in some parts of the galaxy, if not in other galaxies. The idea of Tyranids running from something is interesting, but I think they're just floating from galaxy to galaxy eating stuff.
Warping to another galaxy? well that could explain Star Wars!
But seriously, why not? If there were an alternative dimension, created by the Old Ones to facilitate space travel, then why wouldn't it extend all over the universe? It only become the Warp as it is known today when demons began to infest it. I say in areas where there are no souls or emotions, the warp is calm(er), but it still exists.

Ok I see what the DCM's are getting at. It's kinda like the movie inception. The warp is the dream and the various deamons are like the projections that fill the dream. (if you have seen the movie you will know exactly what im talking about.)

So the warp does have a limited range. I thought the warp covered the whole universe. If this is true then as you reach the edge it will be harder to travel farther distances so unless an off shoot human empire find some other faster-than-light-travel then they might be rare. If another human empire does exist, the longer it stays hidden from the imperium the better.

If the warp relies on emotions and conciousness, and the tyrranids had taken the other galaxies, they probably wouldnt have just up and left, leaving no one on the planet. There would be some tyrannids, wouldnt there? that mixed with the extremely powerful hive mind, wouldnt that be enough to keep the warp going?

There almost certainly must be xenos empires in other galaxies.
There are very roughly 80,000,000,000 galaxies in the universe currently visible to Hubble, and countless more not visible. Even if you assume only 0.1% of galaxies would contain life capable of interstellar travel, that would leave billions and billions of galaxies teaming with their own Empires.
Surely, one of those billions of Empires is going to be larger than the Imperium of Man.
As for humans in other galaxies, I think it's not certain one way or the other. Humans have always had an innate desire to explore the unknown, so I'm certain people would have tried to use the warp to travel to other galaxies. But, navigation would certainly be an issue, so the number of successful attempts may be rather low. But, once they reached the other galaxy, if it was uninhabited (or inhabited by peaceful xenos), they'd be able to grow much quicker than the IoM.
So, maybe there's a human Empire out there larger than the IoM. I'd say it's certainly possible, maybe even probable, but not at all definite.
