Yeah, check your email. The links were supposed to stop working in January, but mine worked as recently as a few weeks ago.

Thanks guys - found them. I'd forgotten that they were direct links and not to the Mantic Digital store. I wonder how they're going to handle digital updates and Kickstarter backers after that recent email? I wonder how they're going to handle KoW backers and digital updates for that matter, since those went out via Wargames Vault if I remember correctly/

My KoW KS rulebook was through Wargames Vault. Other KS rules were links to pdfs that came through Mantic's digital store.

The thing is, I also *bought* several of the original DZ books and the KoW Uncharted Empires through Mantic digital. Now when I log into Mantic digital, it says there's no downloads or orders made.

I guess someone at Mantic pressed a reset button.

Your existing purchases are under the My Library tab at the top of the page, took me a couple of minutes to figure out as well.

From BoWs Adepticon video Mantic have limited number of Enforcer Interceptors with them and they should go on general sale in June

Is anyone willing to snag me an interceptor at adepticon and mail it to me?? I need one! If they're selling the Polaris cannon bits with them, then I'd want two interceptors and a Polaris cannon set! PM me if you can help!

- Enforcers to get command squad miniatures, Sergeant Howlett to get his own squad.
- Medics for other races are possible
- New races like the Nameless will be introduced to Star Saga/ Deadzone first then expanded to WP later by adding HIPs troops
- Brokkr bomb bots possible in Firefight but not Warpath
- FF alternate weapons for weapon platforms are planned
- highest priority for HIPS infantry are Asterian Cyphers and Plague 2nd gens
- Rebs are a matter of getting the miniature range right first
- Marauders need work on both the background and miniatures before they get their own army list
- Asterian pulse bombard will get released probably as part of a set of weapons platforms
- Asterian army deal released in May
- No FF flyers, no Enforcer ground vehicles
- There won't be armybooks for individual armies new lists will be part of larger sourcebooks which may include expansions/campaigns
- All units that are in the rule book should have minis released by summer 2018

Marauders news is bad. Very very bad.
The rest of the news is not surprising really. Holding off on any of this. Just really not feeling Mantic at the moment. Hoping to find some non-Mantic fanboy type reviews on youtube after all the general releases have been circulating. The bulk of feedback now are either super loyal diehards or people who backed them enough to regret it. Need some objectivity going forward.

The marauders background is pretty good, at least the mandrake rebellion part. A slight visual redesign (mangalores?) could help to sell them.

While I'm not entirely sure where I heard it (I think it was the Warpath fanatics facebook page, I've forgotten) one of the Mantic guys there said Ranger Sniper Rifles would be coming with the general GCPS release (implied to be around May/June.)
Not sure if he said metal or not but I believe he did.

I like them as GoW Locust. They're already super close.. or the reptillians (Fatu-Krey) from Galaxy Quest. Mangalores could work but they're so dopey.

If it helps, my FLGS has a Warpath group running, headed by an ex-GW employee. They got maybe a half dozen people playing weekly now. I've been itching to join in but they run it on the same nights I run the Bolt Action league.

I saw someone's Marauders I think on one of the many FB groups where they had painted their skin a rubbery grey with black armor. They looked a lot more menacing than the standard bright green with reds and yellows that Space Orks are painted.
They should get Shieldwolf to redesign them; their Mountain Orcs are pretty evil looking.

The problem with Shieldwolf's orcs is that their heads are so massive. I think they just didn't understand the tooling or something when they did them.. but they look awful to me. That general feral.. almost cat like shape is fine.. they just look like bobble heads though.
Painting the Mantic Marauders grey is something I intend to do with the existing models. I think the misstep was that Mantic did all of this "not-GW" stuff.. and they took it hard sci-fi.. but they got to Orcs and decided "screw it" and leaned into it almost full GW. Thematically and in many places artistically it's too similar. If they had gone more hard sci-fi with the concept and removed them from the design elements that make GW Orks what they are.. I think they would've found a bit more success. Ramshackle, slightly dopey, hints of WW2 uniforms.. none of that needed to come over. I hope they take it the direction of some sort of space conquistador (not literally.. they don't need to be spaniards).

Back during the first Dead Zone KS I was disappointed with the Silly Happy orcs. I felt it was a missed opportunity to sculpt them as the vicious smart mercs they were supposed to be. The dancing sniper goblin was the worst offender but the over all look was just too far into the silly camp for my tastes.

I love the dancing sniper goblin! He looks like he actually accomplished something!

I do agree I'd love to see them take the marauders fully down the hard scifi road.....

Maybe the new one in Star Saga in the environmental space suit is a sign of things to come?

Haven't heard much about Dreadball or Star Saga either.

Just the gunship I think as it is tooled and in production and most of the rest aren't

edit: new KS update just out says

The FF Tank (above) has completed production. We’ve approved the Hultr and Tunnel Runner tools and they start production imminently. The Tunneler completes tooling in the next couple of weeks and then we will have test shots to review before production- we will do an update with image of these when they arrive.

That's looking good. Happy that they decided "nope not good enough" and sent the plastics back for re-tooling, an extra 6 months wait is much better than getting something that isn't high-quality enough. One of main ways that they've changed from their earlier kickstarters, no compromises on quality.

It'll be a lot longer than another 6 months if it's just the tooling for the gunship that's been approved at this stage. There's tooling and approval for the rest of it, manufacturing, hopefully dodging restic or some other half-arsed material change solution for the other models, production of same, shipping to the UK and then packing and distribution to backers around the world.

Oh yeah, we're already an extra several months into the wait so far anyway. :p

So, GCPS vehicles 2018 then?
