Anybody else just not afraid of the Grey Knights at all? I've been to my FLGS, I've read the codex. The +2 invul saves everywhere, power weapons galore. None of it scares me that much. Oh no, OP abilities! Let's not forget that these are spells children, most armies have some form of pschic defense and then there is always the chance that they will fail. I know my Eldar buddy is confident. Wraithnaughtifex? Everything is so over hyped and OTT.

I play Chaos and Nids. As for Chaos, IDC who you are. One fish two fish blue fish red fish. Blue marine red marine wolfy marine silver marine. A STR 8 AP 3 large blast is a STR 8 AP 3 large blast is a STR 8 AP 3 large blast. I almost wish I played IG just to lol all over the new color of marine. How about the Possessed Vindicator twins that I always take? I'm even willing to give them an edge by using a Chaos Dreadnought. No Lash? Poor baby, I rarely use it anyway. I'm used to being "underpowered." Bring it on.

As for my Tyranids, enjoy drowning and killing my cheap, endless swarms. My Tyranid warriors will prove (as always) that having Boneswords and Lashwhips is better than any marine. Yes deepstrike please! I have some outflanking genestealers that are hungry? No? Then say hi to my Trygons and Tyrant.

I see all of the cute new abilities. I'm also sick of all the raging over GK, it's like Dark Eldar all over again. At the end it's still toughness 4 with a 3+ save. As for the termy troop choices? My Lesser Daemons and Gaunts don't care whether that save is 2+ armor or 2+ invul. Yes, servo skull. Yes, plasma siphon. Shut your mouth and adapt to it, like we do with every new release. I'm ready for the challenge. Are you?

I'm not afraid of Grey Knights. I'm afraid of the inquisition. Between the Jokaero and the Vindicare, there's alot of stuff that can seriously mess up your day, and they can be extremely flexible due to the options they have (Vindicare and Jokaero both have variable ammunition/weaposn to deal with almost any situation).

Oh no Grey Knights are going to totally beat my Guardsmen in close combat!

What won't?

I could care less. My demolisher cannons and plasma guns don't really give a damn about shiny knights. The only things I'm at all worried about are teleporting last turn objective-grabs, and Vindicare assassins.

1: you mean a single item thats a 2++, not a +2?

2: a vindi is a vindi, until a turbo round wrecks it on the 1st turn.

3: about 1/2 the armies have psyk defence, if that.

4: hordes will be hit with cleaning flames.

5: daemons strike at I1 thanks to psykout nades

Must i go on?
Only a fool thinks that being not scared = winning a game.

You dont have to be scared to get your arse handed to you though over confidence and not thinking about things.

Runnin up on ya.

I'm not scared. I play Tau, I'm used to losing.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

Not fussed.

From what i've heard Necrons might actually give them a tough fight, and my orks will beat heads and drown them with sheer numbers, like they do everyone else..

If I'm playing my Necrons I'm more confident against them than my SW.

I may not have any defenses for their psychic powers but my offensive unit is a 36" range gun that puts out a solid amount of shots per squad. 45 strength 6 shots at 12" beyond your gun ranges sounds good to me.

Of course in close combat they'll murder me but so would Gretchin so no need to be extra afraid there.

Letting them get in to close combat only to jump out before the action starts does sound like a lot of fun. If only there were a way to stop Hammerhand from happening it'd be even more fun to watch a bunch of marines fail to activate hammerhand, decide against charging a C'tan because strength 4 isn't going to do anything, and then get assaulted next turn by said C'tan because they can't move.

Purifiers give my Orks pause as my usual tactic for dealing with marines is assault, but then I realize that I can shoot them to death with ease and everything is better.

Your post, while coming across as rather indignant, is mostly correct, except this bit.

Drowning in an endless swarm? Enjoy saying goodbye to half of that endless swarm in every. single. round. of combat.

Warriors? Do you know how many instant death and Ap 4 weapons are in this army? Warriors are such a god damn terrible choice against GK its not funny. Can you imagine what a str 8 riflemen DN is going to do to these guys?

Genestealers that are hungry? Say hello to halberds and str 5 storm bolters. Oh, trygon and tyrant?

5 terminators with a banner will eat them for breakfast. Tyranids have such an unfair disadvantage versus GK, its not funny. Im not saying they cant win, but GK are made to kill them. Nearly all GK armies have an answer to anything nids can throw at them. The lack of anti tank and melta is null, these are largely ineffective against nids.

Otherwise, I accept your challenge

My Tau are indifferent. My Chaos don't like them. I run a Tzeentch DP/Bloodfeeder Lord/Khârn and Khorne Berzerkers in rhinos + a defiler, a vindicator and a Land Raider when I use Khârn.

The Defiler and Vindicator will be going down quickly, my Berzerkers will be smashed in combat, Kharn might kill a few things and shrug off the psychics (or get smacked in the face by hammerhand/shot by a Vindi-carebear) but will eventually fall due to only having a 3+/5++, my Tzeentch prince won't be able to cast anything...

I might win combat if I can get the charge off, but that requires my rhinos to remain intact enough to reach their lines. My lack of obliterators, second defiler and ranged weaponry (I have a single TL reaper AC, a single battlecannon, a single demolisher cannon, a few TL bolters, bolt pistols, Khârn's PP...(and usually 2 TL LCs and a TL HB from the accompanying LR) will get me murdered.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Between Alpha and Omega, and a little to the left

I'm a scared of GK, since I play Orks and I'm probably going to see a lot of purifiers, but I think being a little afraid is good. It's better to be scared and prepared than thinking your impervious then getting knocked off your high horse.

Where ever the Emperor needs his eyes

Im not scarred or terrified of them, they are little toy soldiers, I am how ever bothered with how the army has been treated fluff wise and I am not fond of certain abilities they may have as they just seem off.

Also Im not certain where you are getting most armies having some way of countering Psyker abilities, some armies can make them more difficult to use, and only the Marines can remove them all together if you are in range.

I'm not terrified of them, I have a healthy respect of them. The problem is all their beatstick units will fare the same as any other marine against my Guardsmen. Their Psyriflemen dreads scare me a bit.

At the end of the day, they're marines. Marines, meet Battlecannon.

I am willing to play against them. It reminds me of Fantasy Chaos when I started in 4th or 5th (can't remember). All his stuff has special abilities galore and outclasses my stuff, but I have way more stuff. Sometimes I lose, sometimes I win.

I was unwilling to play against the 'leaked' codex. I still am. Until that codex hits store shelves, I won't play against them.

I haven't read the new codex yet, but I understand they are expensive units... doesn't that mean less attacks? I mean, 20-30 fleshborer shots will weather down some of their heavy armor guys, follow up with assaulting , toxin sacs gants with adrenal glands assaulting..

Either way, my next army I'm looking at imperial guard , and not GK (was a toss up).

Henchmen spam and Super Rifleman Dread makes me a bit anxious as an IG player.
Kinda glad that almost all GK units will wipe my non-blob squads in one turn though!

And a blob squad won't stand much of a chance against 2 Purifier Combat Squads. That's a 4+ to wound on every man in the unit. Twice. Every assault phase.

Say goodbye to that power blob.

Well the funny thing is, for for the cost one GK squad, IG players can pretty much take 2 tooled out russes.

That really depends on the GK squad you're talking about.

Most Strike Squads will probably fall around 250 points. Purifier and Interceptor Squads will probably hit ~300 (although they'll likely be combat squaded to maximize their effectiveness).

Not really bothered about GK tbh. I play nids, orks and SM so im pretty sure i wont lose every time. MY nids are at a major disadvantage as everything is CC based with next to no shooty units in it, my orks are half n half (20 lootas will mess up most things lol) and my SM are an entire shooty army with no CC units so im pretty sure they will be effective. At the end of the day (as many have said) there SM with a few ott bits. Still zoggy will squigify there IC and ghaz will dow hat he does best.
