I just got promoted at work to full time with a semi-set schedule so I'm doing awesome now (considering I was homeless and jobless not that long ago). On my list of things I'd like to do once I get free and clear of a big ticket in a month, is getting my first tattoo. I had facial piercings before but had to take them out for work forever ago (several years) so I'm no stranger to body mod-ness, but I'm trying to pinpoint exactly what I want. My biggest inclination now is to go with something using the colors of the bi flag as a symbol to those who think I'm just in a fad and to show my support in general (plus I like the colors! ).

I was thinking like a star or another shape, but I could easily do a band name (I'd love to have GAGA in those colors or Little Monster but I'd really think about it before I did it) or something. I'd like to stay away from the word "pride" because it's a little cheesy. Something music related could be cool ("Music has no gender" sounds kind of fun off the top of my head). Ideas, folks?

Edit: Lyric ideas!

Edit Edit: Bi color Slaaneshi symbol!!! OMG!

If this is something you feel is truly apart of you, then I'd say mold the tattoo idea into something that compliments your personality.

For me, I'm a pessimist and I always feel everyone else seems to have better luck than me. (And because of that I sarcastically say my lucky number is 13) With that, it turned into this:
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a224/solid_monkey/IMG_0404.jpg

To me a tattoo should be an artistic representation of who you are, not what you are.

I really think the Slaaneshi symbol in the Bi colors is going to be the way to go, and midway out on my right hip.

"Slaanesh's followers seek pleasure in every experience, and quickly become inured to more mundane things."

"Slaanesh bestows his favour upon any who act on an interest for an art, whether the art is that of combat, of painting, of poetry or of passion."

The god-complex is self-explanatory.

If I get it on my hip I also have a chance to pull the "I have tattoo..." trap. What about this seems like a bad idea?

I like you Cannerus so I took the time to design you a great tatoo, i did it in rough on paint, but its enough to give you the gist.

On the scroll have written

"Eagle and snake locked in grip of death, who will win? ONLY TIME WILL TELL"

Good eh?

You dont have to pay me or anything mate, just the knowledge that my masterpiece will live on is enough for me.

Your welcome!

Someone appreciates genius I'm thinking that with the tiny cursive word "monster" underneath. It works on multiple levels and would supremely kick ass. Anyone want to sketch this out for me? I'll paypal you 5 bucks or something. Just message me if interested and I'll send specs.

I know exactly where that would go, mainly so I could ask people if they've seen "my little pony"

Being that tattoo artists are artists, always ask to see a portfolio of the artist's work. See which one you feel will do the best job of making your tattoo.

I was digging through my rehosting/funny pictures folder on photobucket today and found the perfect picture for you to get translated to a tattoo Cannerus.

You ready for it?

I mean really. Look at him. He's so classy and composed...but you just know he's got a fun side to him.

If I ever saw someone with this tattooed on them, I would probably have to highfive them then and there.

yeah because a nautical star is a representation of you and not about a million other people with tattoos

@cannerus i would try to go for the Slaanesh symbol in one solid color with shading, possibly the purple with the other two colors outside of the symbol done in like smoky lines. Also in my opinion if your gonna do one hip tattoo you gotta do the other for balance but thats just me. actually sounds like a decent enough of an idea mainly because i love those colors.

Four scholars at Oxford were making their way down the street, and happened to see a group of ladies of the evening. “What’s this?” said the first. “A jam of tarts?” “Nay,” said the second, “an essay of Trollope’s.” “Rather, a flourish of strumpets,” advanced the third. “No, gentlemen,” concluded the last. “Here we have an anthology of pros.”

This is a relatively bet for virtually any tattoo, unless you're a human ink factory in which case they probably all kinda blend. Right after I turned 18, I got a credit card from a recruiter on my college campus - I filled out the application to get a free* cd holder. Anyway, I got a cash advance from that and got my first tattoo, which is my name in mandarin, asian calligraphy being all the rage at the time. Right around a decade later, I kinda started regretting it. I don't speak chinese. I have no idea what it even says. I keep thinking about getting a cover up tattoo over it, but then wonder if I'll regret that again later. Besides, I guess it's a little window into who I was when I was 18. Vacuous, superficial, impulsive.

*the interest resulting from that "free" CD holder was at least $800

I think my opening gambit would go something like this:

"So...are we gonna talk about all that gak in your face, or...?'

@mattyrm - I like it! I was going to have a bash at a typical 'bus-stop cock' for my submission, but after seeing your effort I've lost all confidence!

Incidentally, is there an online repository for RM 'chad tats'?
