Here are some pics of my progress.

Here is the Dreadnought as I built it.

I added some purity seals to give it some character.

Here are veterans on bikes.

Brother Xoktavir

Brother Vladymir

Brother Rhazputin

Drilled bolter holes... still need some practice.

"Onward battle-brothers! Its Taco Tuesday at Taco Roco's!"

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Here are the models primed (Chaos Black Spray).

I started painting the metal portions with Vallejo Model Color Dark Grey

For the main color of the marines I used P3 Sanguine Base... I'm thinking I should have done this before the metal parts.

I don't think it shows well but I did a couple stages of highlighting first with Sanguine Base ad Sanguine Highlight.. then with some white added to that.

After the highlighting of the main color... I also did a couple stages of highlighting on the metal/grey parts... I forgot to take pics of that

I tried to fill in the lines for the marines but my hand isn't so steady

Glue work seems a bit heavy handed, especially around the purity seals. I was noticing multiple missed mould lines pre primer - not sure if you took care of them or I just can't make them out as clearly after painting/angles of photos - the one on the inner side of the Captain's Powerfist still seems to be there though...

Drilling barrels is something that comes with practice, and even then I still screw em up from time to time. Nice kitbashes though, excited to see what the come out like.

It can be used as a captain... really what I did was just put bits together... You could probably use them as Plain Sergeants or Veterans.

Yeah... I should probably leave plastic glue for my vehicles... or maybe abandon it altogether.

I took care of most of the mold lines... aside from the PF I also missed a bit of flash on two of the bikes.

I'm kind of getting the hang of it... I'll be getting more practice with one of my armies I'm working on... Plenty bolters there for drilling.

The trick with plastic glue is to use so little you dont think it will even hold. As long as they remain contacted during the curing process, it will.

I've always wondered how power-fisted marines held onto their bikes.

Today Painted 'gold' trim as well as some other details.

Here's the dreadnought.

...and the bikers

Next up I'll give the flesh parts a try. Other than that some other details I need to work on are the sarcophagus hoses/wires on the dread.

Painted Flesh/hair and did some highlights for the grey metal parts;

Next up will be some work on the bases and then sealing the models. These will be the first ones I've ever sealed.

I never really asked, but what chapter are they? Came out looking very cool, excited to add them to the fray.

I'm calling them the 'Sons of Lorraine'... the symbol on the standard is the cross of Lorraine... Joan of arc would use that cross. I had names for the models but I think I'm going to change those to ones that sound a little more French.
