Just got my confiration of shipping plesantly suprised as I was expecting to get it shipped later as I am wave 2.

Still waiting on my shipping confirmation, i think my order ended up in wave 2 due to their e-mail issues. invoice paid on the 29th.

We have multiple waves of GK incoming so if you have NOT received your GK order yet however have ordered from us around us that is was because of stock levels from our supplier on initial launch. we are getting more packages incoming through this week and next and will be pushing shipments out same-day as we received.

Apologies about the prediction delay, our supplier ensured that all their clients got the GK only one day before the release date (strict enforcement of early sales beyond release date)

Got mine today, despite being taken out of the GW boxes everything was well, tightly packed and arrived undamaged!

Note: im not complaining about the deboxing, with the bubble wrap and such it was probably safer than leaving it in the GW boxes

If I order 100 dollars retail worth of their GK will I still get the 20 percent off listed, and then choose one of my items to actually make 35 percent off (I guess in essence causing one of the 20 percent off items to be 35 percent off)

if you order 101$, you get all the items at 25% off and one at 35% (even if that brings you below the 101$

So I order 104 dollars worth of stuff. There prices are right now 20 percent off. So that makes it 83 dollars. Lets say I choose one item that costs 50 dollars. I would now get 7.50 off of that making my total 75.50 plus shipping?

I believe it needs to be 100$ after the initial 20% not at initial GW prices

Basically - if you hit 100% retail for example:

Retail:
GK Terminator $50
Grey Knight Squad $33
Draigo - $22.50
Total: $105.50

GK Terminator $50 = $32.50 (35%)
Grey Knight Squad $33 = $26.40 (20%)
Draigo - $22.50 = 18 (20%)
Total: $76.90 + $5.75 Shipping

Our shipping costs aren't outrageous - we do ship things via USPS priority 2 day mail (majority of the time 98%)

You calculate your total based on retail price. For each time you hit a $100 increment, you pick the most expensive single item (or next most for subsequent increments) and apply a 35% discount. The rest of your order gets the 20% discount.

When I did my first pre-order, this is what it looked like:

21.75 - GK Codex (20% discount)
35.00 - GK Dreadknight (35% discount)
24.75 - GK Knights (20% discount)
37.50 - GK Termies (35% discount)
32.50 - GK Termies (20% discount)

Notice how I got one set of termies at 35% discount and the other at 20%? That's because I only hit the increment twice and the discounts were applied to the DK and one box of termies.

Figured I would post my gaming clubs experience with Galaxy Gobbo so far. Three of us from our club ordered GK from them. Two of us went in together on one order and it was above $400 MSRP, the other member ordered about $200 worth of items. For the order that was over $400, it was placed prior to the first wave orders going through so should have been sent April 1st as stated on their website, to date, we still do not have our material. The other member of our club, that ordered in the 2nd wave, still has not received his items either. There has been no communication from this vendor to us to let us know what was going on and we have had to contact them directly, multiple times so far, to determine what is going on. Below are a list of what has been told to us:

1. Their store shorted them on supply so they were going to be changing their method of obtaining inventory, etc.
2. Its a paper invoice system and it probably got misplaced

So far, we have been refunded our shipping, and hopefully will be receiving product soon. However, it is over a month since the order was placed and now it is 3.5 weeks since the release and supposed ship date was to be.

I can fully understand this is a new company, but the lack of communication to our group and not having the business properly set up to start to handle either volume or even the payment methods to ensure invoices are filled has made us not do business with them going forward. It was a good idea, but a complete lack of organization on their part and whatever changes they are now going through have turned us completely off to this company.

My recommendation at this point would be not to use this company at all or at least until they get their issues straightened out. I know our group will not be using them going forward and we will not be recommending them to others at our tourneys.

I am posting my experience so far as well.
I paid for an order on 4/8 the guys at Galaxy Gobbo set the expectation that I would receive the order between the 15th and 18th. My order had no new release items it was all existing product line. I sent a follow up email on the 22 inquiring where my models were, and the GG guys responded that day saying that shipping costs would be refunded and that orders were massively backordered however my order did not contain GKs (though i can understand that my items were most likely being shipped to GG with said back ordered GKs).

On the 25th I got an email from paypal saying that my order was on the way via priority mail.

update to my last post. I got a big ol box of plastic in the mail yesterday from GG, the box was stuffed with plastic sprues out of the box, which I was aware of how they would be shipped and was perfectly fine with. The models arrived in great shape with no damage or warping.

I initially ordered 15 plastic kits, yesterday I got all but 2 of my order. I have emailed the folks at GG about the 2 kits, however the shipping verification email did say that my order might ship in multiple boxes.

I hope to be able to do a final update in the next few days saying that all is well and that the last 2 kits have arrived.

I received my merchandise at the end of last week.
First the good, everything arrived as advertised and was in good shape.
Now for the bad, my order was placed and paid for in the "First Wave" of orders to ship. It arrived 3 weeks late. I am annoyed with the late arrival date but even more bothered by the complete lack of communication from Galaxy Gobbo on the subject. I eventually called and talked to someone who was very apologetic.
The Grey Knights will be my 3rd army so I wasn't in any hurry. If this was the army that I always played and was trying to get some of the new models and codex for playing purposes though...I'd be very upset.

Galaxy Gobbo will accept all responsibilities for any issues or inconveniences caused due to delayed shipping times or shortage on item stock.
If you have any issues then please contact us immediately and we will provide remedial service.

While we have made comments in regards to early delivery on new releases, this time around had fell short due to the changes within distribution.

Though only a small percentage should have seen these issues, and for those affected parties we apologize and assume responsibility.




Post updates for all the dealings - those who have followed GG for the past few months.

If you noticed we have had a deal freeze for the whole month of April this is all due to distribution issues which has had some notable problems:

1. GK order overload

Within the beginning of April (or week previous to that) we have made an order of approximately 150x+ of EACH type of Grey Knights boxes. Yes, 100x+ Dreadknights and etc.

This effectively over-massed the distribution provider (The same one we have went to with the first two dealings). The average small time LGS store... you could say doesn't order that much items in en masse all in one shot. Because the distribution center is also accessed by many of other online stores, ebay stores, LGS's they were not unable to keep up with the demand which we have put down. Instead they gave us 25% of what we requested on launch date then sent out packages within 'waves'. We received about 80% of our packages within the next week and a half after, then it was just small packages every few days up until last week.

Not to also mention that they ENSURED that we specifically receive our package only 1 day - the night off the release date.



2. We also ran a Privateer Press: Wrath deal for all the upcoming new release items. However to our great surprise Privateer Press has had very serious poor restocking issues on their CURRENT product line. On all their new releases they have had high supply. However for the past couple of months and STILL to this day Privateer hasn't sufficiently produced enough of their old/current line.

To our understanding this is issues that seem to be a global supply issue on privateer's part?

What makes this complication even at best is the fact that the GK and PP orders were combined on the same order sheet. At times the distributor would have 90% of the order on hand but didn't ship.



Because of these past issues as you can note we have been halting all deals from our site in effort to take care of any outstanding dealings at the moment. If you have had or currently do have any issues with your order I advise you drop us a line. We will fix these issues, or at least I will fix these issues personally.

We have fully refunded shipping to all affected parties and extra. If by chance we have missed you then drop a line and we will fully reimburse you and repay you back for the inconvenience. Effectively making us little to no profit on your order. Though this is our fault and responsibility for such inconveniences.

On a global note - Galaxy Gobbo deals are put on pause until further notice.

The business will accept any responsibilities on any errors in good faith of all the people who have provided their money up front. The intention was to make this a smooth deal providing service, however due to the explosive demand, and the original business model not being made or properly established for retailing - it has had some serious obstacles. The amount of orders demanded on the hot GK release surpased both the first and second wave dealings combined. GK have been very very hot and... because we provided the 35% off MSRP incentive... our 620+ subscriber base... really hammered our distributor.

As noted by "gkwh40k", many things still need to honestly be fixed before any future business to proceed for Galaxy Gobbo.
Until that happens, deals will be shortly ceased until proper arrangements are made.

I.e. Get a new provider, setup a customer relations system, and setup a more proper infrastructure.

A few things:

Privateer Press are seriously failing at the moment. I've had some issues with orders from thewarstore where they, of course, did nothing wrong by any means, but shipping was delayed due to their current restocking issues.

I ordered some GK from Galaxy Gobbo and though there were issues with my order for the reasons mentioned above GalaxyGobbo was more than helpful in making things right.

I hope that Galaxy Gobbo is able to fix their business model, get wholesale permissions, update their website and shopping cart capabilities, and open back up to let the good times and deals roll. I'll look forward to the day when they will be back in business and will most definitely give them my business again when that day arrives.

Because of the Privateer fail in addition to over-ordering GKs, it created a hybrid of mess.

Distribution was waiting on PP stock fulfillment and withheld items that were ready to go.

In addition they at times sent us packages via ground shipment.


Now, however our lack of customer service is dually noted and is above as aforementioned the biggest issues within Galaxy Gobbo. Reason being is that there was no one fully dedicated to handle customer service. This is something that is needing to be fixed before continuing future business.

As Deathwolf stated, our order arrived and everything was there as discussed. The issue, as GG has now outlined, was in the lack of communication. Even if it was a minority of people that were affected, a post on Dakka or their own site stating what was stated above would have sufficed and I think the majority of people would have been fine with that. It's the not knowing. And for a small company, that has no history, when you spend a couple hundred dollars with them, you start wondering where your money just went when there is no feedback or communication. That's all.

I have to say that I did get my order in a timely fashion. I just order a Grey Knight Codex though. From the posts here I will not be ordering from Galaxy Gobbo again until I see that their issues are worked out.

Customer service should be the number one priority in ANY business. If you see a failing there everything else can be called into question.

I really do hope they get their business model fixed up. Its a great idea and I think we are all ready for it.

To confirm, yes, Privateer has had distribution and fullfillment problems since last summer, right after GENCon. In some cases, I've heard distributors are 4-6 months behind on recieving orders they have placed. I keep my stores stocked up by ordering through 4 different distributors, getting extra of whatever is in stock because we don't know when it will be available again. This has happened before at PP, back in their early days.

It's going to be very difficult to adapt the current GG business model, which is based on taking orders first, than getting in product, in the face of backed up distribution of PP product. Putting those on hold is probably a good ideas. Setting up secure sources of product is one of the major hurdles for any business. So probably a good decision to hold off on deals on that product line.

GG has contacted me about my missing kits and offered reasonable solutions to the problems. I hope that they will be able to get over this hurdle with distro and get things movings again. GG has a great business concept that I hope will be able to survive and flourish

Two of his items were backordered.
We got one of his item in, if failing to get another we will fully refund his difference and work on a further solution from there.

In reality because our model is different than a standard shop it is at mercy of the distribution.

Lessens learn - we are not holding a Privateer Deal until further noticed.
As mikhaila has pointed out - he has himself gone through 4 different distributors.

We only have one middle man, and thus we would have to either obtain a better provider or get an additional.


Other individuals have been provided a refund in their shipping + we shipped priority essentially eating up 2x (shipping costs + refund cost)
With little margins 5-10% due to heavy discounts, shipping costs, paypal fees as is already we have made 0 or negative $.
This again as stated only occurred to a number of our packages, many have been successfully



Our error is customer order tracking - because everything was not systematically logged greatly the customer relations management was low.
And so we have taken the responsibility to cease for the short moment in revision of our business model/infrastructure.

I wouldn't call that "reasonable," I'd call that "appropriate."
To me, "reasonable" sounds more like the customer is accepting a lesser resolution, whereas "appropriate" indicates that you're doing what should be done.

I am the customer in question, I told GG that I was happy to wait on both items to ship together and even said that Parcel Post was acceptable. I am a business owner and I dont expect a business to lose money to accomodate me. As long as GG keeps me informed and they are able to get my order filled i can wait a lil while longer on my item. Once again communication is key and I the customer am currently happy as I understand the supply chain issues GG is having.
