Yay Trevor! Bloody well done KB!

I think you need to include a 25mm base or something in the final photo because he is genuinely larger than most people realise.

I'm going to start on Yarrick shortly. Para, can I get permission to photoshop something off the final pictures?
He has a banner pole that a friend is making the banner for - I will not get it before the 28th and it's not my work when it arrives anyway. So I would just block out an empty pole on the photo.

Absolutely fine, edit the pics however you like!
Well, 'ere we go then.

That's a beautiful miniature Butters, hope you manage to finish it because I'm sure it'll look sweet fully painted! Can I ask where you got it from?
That is the 1990s Yarrick. He would originally have came with a paper banner depicting him losing his arm.
The base is a corpse from the "Thieving Grots" GW set. I drilled it, flattened his knees, and changed Yarrick's feet to stand on him. The head has no teeth due to them having been pinched by a grot with pliers from the set.

@NLC: I think you're obliged to get those MANZ done, they're looking too awesome not to be entered!

@TP: That thing is coming along very nicely! Are the black areas staying black, or do you have something else planned?

wow TP that is beautiful! always love purple and black too

I don't think I'm going finish mine, we'll see. I'm not happy with how they're coming out. Having a really hard time getting the detail I want. Right now they're base coated and that's about it. Anyway still a few days, who knows maybe I'll get inspired with a sudden burst of creativity

Hey Para, Jan and Guild. Thanks for your kind words.

Para, the black areas are actually very dark purple but with the claws being pure black. The body will be getting edge highlighting with a dark blue/purple to bring out the high points. The pure black claws, recessed circles around the face and dome on the head will all be gloss varnished at the end

My new proof. Morrocan merchant and his Shlepper bot.

aaand after a few hours painting last night...

A brief explanation of how it fits the theme... the bot is a 6mm/10mm Walker that I'm using for 28mm. Ya for rationalizing!

Bloody good job, Foxley! I especially like the khaki one. the acorn shield looks ace as well.

God you remind me that I have an embarrassing amount of those little things in my house. Including one signed by the sculptor because I'm that kind of goon.

Final entry time!

Bloody typical that literally every other mini I've painted this month has photographed fine and the one I enter for the challenge has been a right pain, but after an age of employing the magic that is Photoscape I think I'm just about there. Still doesn't look as good in the pics as he does in reality, but it's probably the best I can do with only a day left (though if there's any major issues with the pics, I can probably correct them, so let me know!

These two are some of the smallest creatures on the battlefield, but they're putting out S8 AP3 shots. Size Matters Not Indeed. Presenting Gree-Z and Grunt!

On a P&M note, I bought this set off eBay thinking, oh great, they're pre-primed, this should be a piece of cake! However, the original owner didn't remove the mold lines before priming them, and I only managed to chase down some of them before getting tired of the endeavor. Then I discovered that the primer used was probably some kind of two-part oil-based house paint. The first component repels all other kinds of paint (in particular, acrylics) and the second component flakes off in order to better expose the original metal underneath. I would paint portions of these, leave them overnight without touching them, only to come back in the morning and find places that were chipped off down to the metal. I re-primed each model twice (over the other stuff) w/ my own paint-on primer, and ultimately ended up thinning my paints with primer to help them adhere better. The takeaway is that from now on, no matter what I buy off eBay, I'm stripping it to bare metal and starting fresh.

End rant, thanks to Para once again for hosting the Challenge, final pics:
