Feel like I'm doing pretty well, battle brothers. Made my first purchase of 2020 - an old metal tyranid - at the start of this month, but otherwise have only been working on shrinking the grey horde. Obviously, I could be going faster, but I feel like the momentum is really starting to take hold!
Starting to make reasonable progress through my templars, and with a bit of luck now that the weather is good enough for priming, time to make real headway.

Helps a little that GW is in lockdown, obviously, and I suspect that we're in for another price hike when all this is over, which would decisively knock me out in terms of being willing to buy, so from here on out it's full speed to completed projects! Best of luck to the rest of ye!

Thanks for the compliment. I usually paint a model at least three times. Two thin coats and a clean-up coat. With these Death Guard I have only been going with one coat. I will admit the Death Guard stuff has been turning out really good. The one coat works really good on them as it helps make things look faded, worn or otherwise grimy. However, there are bits here and there where I have stray marks and bits that I missed (most notably tubing). To get those things, I would have taken at least 3 times longer to paint though, and the commission was just for 3 colors up plus simple basing.

The speed was done as I thought I could give these back to the owner in two weeks time which was the initial Stay-at-Home order duration. As the order became extended, I put a little extra detail, but not a whole lot more since it wasn't changing the price of the commission.

In the last couple of days, I have gone back to my stuff as I just have those Lords of Contagion and Typhus left but need a break from painting that scheme for a bit. I have finished painting all of my Intercessors (which was like two of them remaining) and Eliminators. Currently, I am put my GSC back on the painting station as they are the army in most need of work. I have some 30 Neophytes, 30 Acolytes, 15 Bikers, 2 Ridgerunners, 2 Trucks and a handful of characters that need finishing.

I figure I can work on them for a couple of weeks for something different before going back to the Death Guard commission. I certainly won't finish painting all that GSC stuff, but if I can get through most of the Neophytes and Acolytes, which already have coats 1 and 2, I will be pretty happy with my progress.

I finished 4 more CSM on Tuesday, and another 4 today to take me to 93 painted models for the year.

Almost finished the iron hands army! nearing 200 minis now beteeen this, frostgrave, and dnd minis

Finished up a Hunter tank that I completely forgot I own. The end of the Marine collection is in sight now, I've got 15 Marines and two tanks left in the pipe.

Gitz are down to highlights on 6 rockguts. So close to done... so.... close....

Finally finished another 5 Orcs. Just 15 more to go and I'm finally done this unit.

I have whittled my list down to the following models remaining:
5 necron immortals (3 are built)
1 annihilation barge (still on sprue)
5 GSC bikers (still on sprue)
8 genestealers (still on sprue)

I am breaking up my progress by adding details to the necromunda starter box walls. They're already painted to tabletop standard but I'm adding rust, painting details on piping, etc.

I have taken a small break from working on my Death Guard commission since I probably won't be able to get them back to the owner until May. I am currently making a dent in my GSC army.


The above spoiler is all the units I still have to finish. Which is quite a bit, and I know I won't finish in week or so I am taking a break from my commission. That said, the below spoiler are all the units I have finished in the last few days. Which does seem like a lot, but a good portion of them were painted for use in Kill Team and even more had most of the basic blocking already done as per my typical painting strategy. I wouldn't mind having all my Neophytes, Acolytes and Aberrants painting up before next weekend.

I managed to finish painting blackstone fortress several weeks earlier than anticipated thanks to the pandemic and I'm almost done painting my terrain backlog. Which has been very nice and empowering to genuinely see the progress happening for change.

I finished 4 more bases of 6mm cavalry. I think all the cavalry I need are done.

I've gone from 1 fully painted keyword to 6 now for Malifaux over the last 2 weeks, so I'm getting there. Focusing on Star Wars for a bit and getting my Rebel army done before I finish another 3 keywords that I've started

5 Infiltrators added to the done pile. Just 5 Intercessors, 5 Hellblasters, a Predator, and an Executioner to go for Marines. ...and 66 Slannesh Daemons.

Doing some work on my remaining BSF models. Finished another traitor guard model and Janus Draik today. That takes me to 95 complete for the year, so close to triple figures!

Painted my goblins..... so many little goblins....

Just broke out some cultists who've been waiting since 2015.

And then ordered 20 more so I could build 3 squads of 20...

Looks like the Arbites are getting an Opp For.

Finished every model release for Marvel Crisis Protocol so far. Also painted my first 6 units for my Destroyers army.... and bought 9 more, so.... :(

It's not finish work, but I got a 6-man box of Fallout Synths and an 8-man box of Fallout Survivors cleaned and assembled. They're good looking sculpts but the resin is also flimsy as feth.

I also broke down my magnetized Predator to a single layout and reclaimed the magnets. I can't justify the extra effort involved in painting a tank in 15 pieces that I've only fielded once since I bought it.

2 Deathwatch Bikers finished today, taking me to 97 painted and 0 bought this year.

23 more Destroyers done! Sense of progress again!

Down to my last two minis! My ever suffering chaos sorcerer and a Nurgle daemon prince.

Luckily the FLGS can do curbside, so I can reward myself with something new as soon as I finish them.

10 more Daemonnettes. Those things are starting to feel like a slog, but I'm running out of Marines with which to space them out.

Finished all unpainted Tau but Farsight and Shadowsun.
After that some IG. But I'm taking my time and giving those two some love.

I managed to get some forward progress on my Genestealer Cult army. It looks like it will still need another month or more, but I am getting there.

Currently, I am back to working on more of the Death Guard commission as I received the second part of it. The owner was pretty happy with the first part and also wants me to paint his Tau kill team when I get a chance.

Finished up my Destroyer units and my first monster. I've got a few more to do, but hoping to be caught back up on MonPoc soon.

Sold off a bunch of my pile of shame...all my old metal GDs are gone, unused Imp Knight is gone, 4 OOP books gone. And that’s just today. I also let go 150 marines and Maggotkin last week and I’m not done yet!

Other than that, working through Khorne Bloodbound stuff.

I prepped to start work on 4 bases of skirmishers and 4 bases of Theurophoi all in 6mm for my Diadochi armies.

Cavalry is done, so it is time for the infantry.

Finished up a Predator. It's a shame that such an iconic piece has such bad rules.
