Hi I was thinking of doing a Thousand Sons Force using GK's and the existing CSM range but does anyone know of any good alternative heads for them. I have seen the Scibor Minis Egyptian Bits and will def get some of them but I still need some new heads. Cheers.

Yeah I think for Pre-heresy 1k Sons Scribor is great. For the later stuff i'm not sure, a mixture of the old Nagash plastic (for weapons) you could have Bald headed Marines with a single locket of hair. It would not be hard to do in Green stuff then glue on. The AoBR Sergeant looks perfect add one of these and a Khoteph Weapon, Sickle Sword etc he would look excellent. Watch the 1st STARGATE movie the the Evil One's children helpers are all scalped apart from a small section which is allowed to grow and plaited. On an Astartes it would look brutal.

Plus you could use the baldy marine heads you already have. Fo inspiration watch a bit of Ben Hurr or Moses in the 10 Commandments, even the Mummy, Mummy returns or Scorpion King. Possibly even 10,000BC even..... actually not that one it was bloody awful.

I too am looking for some interesting non standard tsons heads. Anyone know who makes this set, or where they might be obtained?

I tried looking on ebay and no luck, and the acution linked in the thread did not come up either, so no luck finding who sold them there.

Also, if you click "back to search results" or search for the poster's name (irina_est), she also sells Mk2, Mk3, and Mk4 armor (for those interested).

Loot the new Tomb King range, e.g. Tomb Guard heads (explain that these are not the original 1000 Sons but additional SM troops in their service) and the Sphinx body for a TK defiler.

Thanks for the reponses everyone. I am going post heresy so correct me if I am wrong but shouldn't all of them have helmets since they lost their physical bodies and are walking suits of armour now.

@Biccat Thanks for the link! I saw those bits on google and they were exactly what I am after so I will probably get one or two of those sets and mix them with the Scibor stuff.

@Kroothawk I am really tempted to make a DP or Defiler out of the Necrosphynx as soon as I saw it.

Would the Thousand Sons use summoned demons, If they do I might get some of the other TK bits like the Ushabti or Sepulchral Stalkers. I am not a gamer so I don't need it to be game legal but I do like to respect the fluff of the legion so any help would be handy.

Damn it I guess that gets rid of my Necrosphynx DP or Defiler idea... unless I change it into some crazy dreadnought instead.

The Rubric of Ahriman only turned the rank-and-file to dust, not the sorcerers. So aspiring sorcerers or sorcerer lords can still be possessed.

dont forget that Magnus was really pissed that ahriman performed that ritual so no, i dont think theyd do it to new recruits.

Hey kill, have you tried the GK heads yet? I only ask because I'm also using GK parts for my thousand son. Do you think the GK heads would work?
