I kind of understand, but ultimately, this is an Internet forum. For me personally, an overuse of a word/phrase is fine, if i don't like it, i'll ignore it. At the most its going to take a few seconds away from your life, does that really matter?

See, when it comes down to it--this isn't just "an overuse of a word/phrase".
Memes essentially are "inside jokes". They're fun and all to have with your friends, but at the same time when you start having people doing them constantly it ends up with newer members to your clique constantly saying "What? Huh?" trying to figure out "the joke".
At the most its going to take a few seconds away from your life, does that really matter?
